Summary: absolutely a must read for new business owners.
Review: I have started several businesses and how I wish I had the opportunity to read Jay Hearst's book first. I think if the local business license group required this to be read before getting the license, there would be considerably less failures for new businesses. Just having knowledge of the prospective new business and a big ego will not get the job done. Not only does it contain "must have" information, it is easily read and understood. I commend Mr. Hearst for his service to the business community.

Review: This book is chock full of helpful and useful information. My copy is highlighted and dog-eared all the way through. It goes from helping you discover if you have what it takes, through preparation and building and growing a business. Every aspect of starting and running a business is discussed so that the reader can be prepared. The author is not only forthright and insightful, he's also entertaining. The practical usefulness in this book is well worth the read. Yaahooo!--I'm ready to take the leap!
