Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Practical and well written. Better than "Getting to Yes".
Review: A valuable handbook for deal making and negociation in general. Diener's style is succinct and witty. His book is a common-sensical restatement of the components of a deal, from the preparation to the hand-shake, to the renegociation. Diener's approach is much more thorough & practical than Fisher & Ury, with visual aids for the laity.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Serendipitous Discovery
Review: It's a shame this book is out of print. I picked it up today on the discount stand, lucky me. The book is an easy read full of great information. Marc Diener did a superb job in covering the aspects of the art of the deal. If you are involved in making deals this book is worth hunting for.

Summary: Intelligent deal making
Review: This is an excellent book on how to craft and structure good deals. As a corporate lawyer, I have quite a number of books on negotiation and deal structuring and I think Marc Diener's book has made my role a lot easier, especially on advising my internal clients as well as coaching my colleagues on having a comprehensive framework and approach for deal structuring and consumation. I only wish that it could be updated, reprinted and circulated more widely. I don't want to give out my copy!!
