Review: Looking for a good, detailed home inspector checklist book was difficult since I don't know about house construction and repairs but I still wanted a lot of details to learn what I need to evaluate. This book was great because there are very detailed sections but they are explained in a way that even a beginner can understand. I went through my house on the inside and outside and found many problems and repairs that were needed. I had no idea of how much you really need to check in your home to make sure everything is OK or if something needs to be updated or repaired. Certain problems I found needed to be further evaluated by a professional contractor but at least I was able to identify the problems with the help of this book. You should get this book to check your own home since you will save a lot of money and time later by detecting problems and repairs before they get too serious or expensive - or dangerous!

Review: My wife and I have purchased other books by this author and we were very pleased with the information they teach. This book is a very detailed checklist that helped us a lot to go through our home in a step-by-step manner to check out EVERYTHING! I never realized how much a home owner can do on their own and what they can check - even without being a professional inspector. We were able to find problems and repairs needed in many parts of our home, both inside and outside. The operating systems checklists were easy for us to understand and learn from due to the step by step approach. After using this checklist book we were able to make smart decisions with the repairs and improvements we needed to do or have done to our house without wasting any time or money.
