Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must read for people interested in KKR.
Review: A fascinating account of the history behind this powerful firm. Bartlett paints a far less flattering picture of KKR than "Barbarian's at the Gate".

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: poor choice
Review: Bartlett has written an uneven book that doesn't even provide true insights for the reader. (A caveat regarding this rewview but also the book: I chose not to waste my time finishing it, instead throwing it away when halfway through it.) A far better choice for those interested in reading about KKR is George Anders's "Merchants of Debt," if you can find a copy.
