Summary: What a disappointment
Review: After anxiously waiting for this book to arrive, it only took me a couple of hours to read it. The stories on each entrepeneur were too brief. It tells you how each of them came about w/ their ideas but does not at all provide any information on what exact steps they took to be successful. I was very disappointed. It was a waste of money.

Summary: A Source of Inspiration
Review: Overall, I liked it. I would recommend buying it or at least renting it from the library and reading it. You could easily read it in one or two days. If you are, or ever had the idea of starting something on your own, this is a great book to fuel those dreams and ambitions. It showcases a wide array of people from different backgrounds who successfully started businesses.

One of the nice aspects of the book are the pictures of the entrepreneurs. They give you a sense of the person's character when you read the chapters devoted to them and help you visualize what their business activity may have been like.

I think it could have been better if the interviews and segments on each business were a bit longer with more in depth insights. To be fair, the authors claim that in the intro that their goal is to ignite a spark within the reader toward jumpstarting a business idea. To that effect, their book is worthwhile especially since you can finish it quickly.

Throughout this title, I kept slamming my fist on the counter after reading each segment on an entrepreneur thinking to myself, "Damn! If that person could do it with so little, why not me?" You get the picture at the end of the book that there really is nothing holding you back but yourself.

Summary: A Source of Inspiration
Review: This book is a real inspiration. What it is really saying is that if you have an idea that's crazy enough, that's probably your million-dollar idea. You just have to believe in it, applying both reason and faith. And you can succeed. There are certainly other books out there with more practical information, but this book can start you dreaming. So go out, rent a sailboat, put on your Duke Ellington tapes, pour yourself a glass of cranberry juice, light a cigar, take off your socks...and dream!

Summary: Interesting read
Review: This book is about 101 successful businesses and how they got started. Although it does not contain details on how to start a business, it contains lots of good ideas and lots of inspiration, two important qualities of a entrepeneur. You will enjoy reading some better known businesses like Terra Chips as well as lesser known ones like Three Dog Bakery who makes gourmet biscuits for dogs. It's amazing a dog biscuit company makes over a million dollars a year, but since this book is about young millionaires, every company profiled in this book makes over this amount.
