Review: About 20 years ago, my sister brought this book home from school. My Mother said she was in a corner evey time she turned around, laughing or crying. My sister told my mother, "Mom, you've got to read this book!" My Mother did read it and found herself doing the same thing. I on the other hand, was one who didn't care to read and let alone show emotion over a ridiculous book. I thought they were nuts and laugh or roll my eyes, as I walked by. Then,one day that book sat there and my curiosity got the best of me and I found myself doing the same. This book is the best book I've ever read...now don't forget, I'm not real big on books. The author has such a way of writing there's never a dull moment...

Review: I was A young girl in my preteens when I first came across this book at A church I attended. Though prior to checking this book out of the church library I requested that I be babtised and was. This book is so very inspirational! I've been searching for it for many years now. I am 30 years old and A mother of 4 young sons. This book I have wished to have on several occasions so as to offer it to persons I have meet along my path. Carol Kauffman receives an excellent thumbs up from me. I would also like to read some more of her works in the future.
EXTREMELY INSPIRATIONAL!!!!

Review: The first time I read this book I was twelve years old. It left such an impression on me that I have been looking for it ever since. As I read it again I realized that it touched me just the same. It is a well written and captivating story. I'm sure I will read it many times over in the years to come.

Review: This book had such an impact on my life. When I was young, I read it seven times. It was so enlightning! I learned many lessons from reading about Lucy's life. I wish I could find it in hard back. It's definitely a keeper! Read it, it could change your life!

Review: This book was written about my husband's family so it has even more meaning to me. It is heartbreaking to think of the tirbulations that Lucy faced and did so with an unfailing faith in God. It is a true testament how God can touch one heart and that heart can spread the love through the generations. Please know that when you read this book that her purpose was to talk of her love of Christ and not to bring out any sympathy for the conditions for which she lived in. Our's is a family based on PRIDE and FAITH. Fortunately, we had a wonderful example. Thank you to Carol Kaufman for the beautiful way she got those words out!
