Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good book - and many fine lessons
Review: This books takes its title from the Spanish conquest of Central America where (I think it was Cortez...it's been a while since I read the book). The Spanish came ashore with the idea of conquering the indigenous population and scuttled their ships in order to wipe out any chance of restreat. What's interesting is the weaving of history and management styles. A book worth reading if you wonder what comes next in management fads. They've all been pretty much tried...and the book makes this abundantly clear.
