Summary: A disappointing "new" edition
Review: I had, over the years, been looking for the newer edition of the "Coopers & Lybrand Manual of Auditing, 5th edition" which was last published in 1992 and one of the better auditing manuals available at book stores at that time.

This Thomson Learning Students' Manual of Auditing, 6th editon, published in Year 2001 was the same as the Manual of Auditing published by Gee in Year 2000. It was, however, not really a new edition. When I compared it chapter by chapter and page by page with the "Coopers & Lybrand Manual of Auditing, 5th edition", I found most of the contents in most of the chapters to be identical - paragraph by paragraph. It is unbelievable that there have been no changes in this Manual over the years. To me, it was a disappointing "new" edition. The publisher should have mentioned that this is a "re-print" of the earlier edition and not really a "new" edition.
