Summary: O: OUTSTANDING!
Review: I've been looking forward to reading the fifth book for ages, so i bought it as soon as possible...and am i glad that i did! It is even better than the last book and longer. Loadz of mysteries get explained in this story, but there's still a lot of suspense built that i know that i can't wait until book 6 comes out.
I won't write about what the story's about since a lot of people will probably explain it and i don't have much time. So just read it, trust me...it's great!

Summary: Welcome to the Looking Glass!!
Review: The author has been able to do and incredible task...top it's past books with an incredible good book, that is darker, funier and exilariting to read. The book was rushed to me and just finished, I will not give away any of the great parts (don't you hate that kind of reviews?), but if you want a little piece of advice...go and get it NOW!!!!

Summary: A Great Book
Review: This is a great book. In the first pages major events happen. Also a major charater dies. When you read this book you want more. When your done reading it you think it is not enough. Thats how I felt. It took my 12 hours to read this book. And it was worth it.

Summary: Not as good as the previous ones
Review: Unfortunetly Rowling seems to have taken a step backwards with this book. It is a griping fun to read adventure but doesn't live up to the standards of the previous ones. Former four were outstanding fun and well written for young and old. Specially the forth one. This one however is not as well written. It seems as Rowling didn't enjoy writing this one as much. There are some flaws and plotholes in the script. Minor ones but yet one a very big one which is clarified by saying that our friend Potter simply forgot about it. Although after the long wait it is highly amusing seeing the characters again..something is not right.
After the big events of the end of the Goblet of Fire, this book steps back and doesn't reveal much new information about what we thought was coming in this book about what was said in the end of TGOF. For example get we to see little of Snape until the latter half of the book. Actually we dont get to see much until the latter half. The book is to busy introducing a new character (the new defence against the dark arts teacher) who is a vague character and not a interesting one. The plot is taken out of the four previous ones. Nothing is told to Harry Potter who has to find everything out by accident or by sneaking around in his invicibility cloak, like in book 3. The mage government is interfering and reducing Dumbledores power like in book 2.
However the book has its good points. Mainly in regards to Moody and Hagrid. And specially many characters from the other 4 books stop by this year. However in the end i didn't think why this book was so long (since the plot and character development isn't deeper or more complex than book 2) but rather why the auther was compelled to write this year altogether. It doesnt add anything new or vital to the continous story arch of the 7 books.
I feel frankly a bit let down because we dont get to read about the thing that were promised in the end of the last book and what is revealed is frankly predictable.

Summary: The Best One Yet
Review: J.k Rowling knows her stuff, and the long wait was well worth it. Personally, i think its the best one yet. It makes you angry, it makes you sad, you obviously smile at the humor that comes naturally and surprisingly makes you cry. I dont honestly see how this book was disappointing to some kids. Harry's grown up and its all wonderful.

Summary: Another good Potter book, but definately not the best yet.
Review: After awaiting anxiously for June 21st, and virtually staying off of the internet until I had finished reading this so that the plot was not given away to me.. I finally finished this very long drawn out book. In my opinion, the book was another good Potter installment. But it was way too long. There was so much in this that just could have been left out. Also, there were some things that I found to be pretty unbelievable... first off, Harry's relationship (or lack thereof) with Cho. I find it hard to believe that a 15 year old boy (especially in our times) would not even want to hold a girls hand let alone kiss her. Also, I understand that Harry needs to be "angry" in this novel, but when that is all he is, it gets a little dull. I am not saying that I did not enjoy this book, I actually enjoyed it very much. There were just some things that could of made it much better. Also one hope for the 6th Harry Potter... I hope that they finally get a good Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher. As this story line too is becoming pretty darn predictable. Just a thought.
I did enjoy the addition of the character "Loony" Luna... didn't we all have one of those in our school that marched to the beat of her own drum, but ended up being pretty darn cool once you got to know her? I know I did. She also lead to quite a few laughs in this book. I hope that Ms. Rowling adds her to the next books as well. And as always, I enjoyed all of the new additions to the magical creatures introduced in the book, and the explanations of Firenze's classroom. J.K. Rowlings descriptions are so accurate and clear that you just can't wait to read more just to watch the Harry Potter "movie" in your head. All in all I would rate this book a B. And I look forward to the 6th, because I am thoroughly addicted to Mr. Potter, Hermione and Ron!!

Summary: Genius.
Review: The fifth installment of JK Rowling's best selling series sees a change of pace and a definite change in character for the eponymous hero.
Entering his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter is now fifteen years old, and with it comes all the growing pains of adolescence, including huge teen temper tantrums and the horrors of dating... not to mention the fact that Voldemort has returned, Hogwarts has a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher that is even more loathesome than Snape, and the OWLS wizarding exams are approaching.
The Order of the Pheonix is literally a book that you will not be able to put down, despite its immense size. Like all the previous Rowling books, the plot twists and unravels itself magically at the end, leaving you hankering for more even after 700+ pages. There are quite a few surprises in store for the reader as well, including a host of new characters (as well as some old faces making a return) and visits to more parts of the magical world.
This book is darker than the other titles in the series but i would reccomend it to anyone who loves fantasy- not just potter fans in general. for although you will have to have read the other four books in the series to fully understand whats going on, this book, like its hero, is a mature and thoughtful piece of literature.

Summary: Worst of the Five (Spoiler be warned)
Review: This is the the worst of the five books.
There is nothing in the book.
NOTHING..............

Spoiler

each the four books before it have a bombshell at the end, just because the fifth book has no bombshell at all, so JK intentionally leaked that "a major character will die", that what keep me on edge when I read the book.(So if a dare say, this is a scandle?!!!) ...Another thing is disappontted is the love story, no development in that front what so ever.

This whole book make me wonder that JK have the story of only 6 books instead of 7, and she have to write 7 books, so the fifth is just the boring story of magic creatures, fancy magics, strange witchs wizards... who care, we already got the point that they living in a magic world, none of these will impress me any more. Just to prove my point:
Is any of you still interested in the stupid sport (so call quidich), the only thing that it make a different here is the dramatic turn around of Ron as a keeper, (I become like Ron more and more, not Harry, because Ron is human, while Harry is a HERO.....)
...To conclude I still say this book have no story what so ever, if I just skip this book and direct go to book6 it will not make much different. When we finally read all 7 books, if I dare to predict, we will notice again, that there is no point to write the 5th one.

Sorry for the English, English is not my native language and I write this in a "Harry" :).

Summary: Surpassed All the Other Books in the Series
Review: I thought that this work was truly amazing. Rowling transcends this novel from mere children's book status to one which can be heralded by all as a masterpiece, appealing to people of all ages. As someone who is 19, I can clearly remember the pains of being an adolescent, including this insatiable feeling of rebelliousness as well as ample raging hormones, all of which Harry srtuggles with throughout the book. Rowling has the gift of endowing her characters with "life," so that they appear to be actual people whom the reader recognizes as old friends. She also delves into a lot of psychological issues, prodding into the minds of her characters even more, allowing the reader to be able to empathize with the characters that much more for their humanness. I perhaps enjoyed this book so much as it has come the closest, among all the other books so far in the series, to presenting the reality of the human condition, with its many shades of grey and only speckles of black and white. Well done J.K. Rowling!

Summary: Coming of Age in the Wizarding World
Review: I would like to congratulate and thank J. K. Rowling for another remarkable installment in her series. Her abilities to create and maintain tension, to elaborate inventive characters and details, and to build on her previous books in unexpected ways are unabated in her new novel. Although the tone of this volume is darker (the characters seem never to stop arguing), this makes sense in the overall narrative because of the increased difficulties they all face. Harry is also recognizably a teenager, and not a terribly pleasant one to be around all the time, as he struggles with his own special problems and doubts. Harry is taken to the London home of Sirius Black; attends a hearing at (and later revisits) the Ministry of Magic; discovers his father made mistakes, and that Sirius and even Dumbledore are fallible; and finds out, at last, what caused Voldemort to attack him to begin with.
