Rating: Summary: A Super Book! Review: I was hosting two parties in one week: one for a group of my children's friends (teens and pre-teens) and another for a group of my own friends (Gen X'ers and Baby Boomers). There were so many varied games in this book that both groups had a great time. Instructions are easy to follow and the games are all instantly addictive. If you're looking for something beyond the typical board games you'll find at most parties, this is perfect for you. Most games require only players and their brains, a few others require pen and pencil. No matter what, everything we played from this book was a lot of fun. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: A Super Book! Review: I was in charge of entertaining forty-two people for over two hours and I am not particularly outgoing. I'm actually pretty ingoing. I bought this book in a store, along with several others, but only used this one because it made me laugh and seemed particularly straight-forward. It's well-written, clear, clever, and concise. All of the games are explained in a page or two. Chaneski details the possible pitfalls of some games and suggests remedies-his predictions were accurate and his suggestions surprisingly effective. People who didn't know one another when the evening began were leaning on each other with laughter by the end of it. I was able to set up non-competitive games for people who preferred that (a good number simply would not participate in competition but were willing to be goofy as hell in a non-competitive endeavor). Several participants wanted copies the book and while I was on line arranging it, I thought I'd steer others to this remarkable little compilation.

Rating: Summary: Super Party Games: Fun & Orignal Ideas for 10 or More Review: John, Thank you for writing this complete book of party games. I look forward to trying a few of them. Everyone who is throwing a party for New Year's this year should definitely buy your book to make their party even more memorable (Not that any party wouldn't benefit - especially a work related party). You are a very talented writer. I look forward to your next work. Good Luck! Deana

Rating: Summary: I got game, baby... (Actually, lots of games.) Review: Wow.You're interested enough in my book to want to read mycomments and that just knocks me out. I really appreciate yourinterest. Here's what I have to say. Super Party Games is my very first book and honestly, if I hadn't written it, I'd have bought it. I confess, I'm a gamer, a person who loves to play games. Part of the reason I wrote the book is so I could have on hand a convenient collection of really excellent games for adults. Mission accomplished. But now it's time to spread the word. Sure, many of these games can adapted for play by kids, but all of them are intended for fun-loving, wicked-clever grown-ups like you and me. Need to entertain 100 people? Family reunion? Fundraiser? Convention? Maybe you're one of those super-popular people with 40 or 50 best friends? This is just what you need. Mixers, trivia games, word games... something for just about everyone, including the group cynic who can't sit through a minute of instructions. I've played and reviewed hundreds of games for GAMES magazine and I've endeavored to make the Super Party Games easy to run, easy to explain and easy to understand. Most of all, I've collected the games that I think are big fun... the games I want to be playing -right now-. Some are classics, like "Charades," but most of these, like "Limer-wrecks" and "Spelling Eeb," are new to the general public and some, like "Mafia," are quite outrageous. So I hope you'll try Super Party Games, tell your friends about it and then send me some games of your own. I'm always looking for new fun. Oh my. It's November 14 and I've just seen my first holiday tv commercial. Hmm.. "Super Party Games... makes a great gift!" I like the sound of that. Just a thought. Play nice, John Chaneski
