Summary: Marlfox is yet another entertaining book by Brain Jacques.
Review: Marlfox is a wonderful book written by Brain Jacques who should get a newbery for one of his books. Marlfox is about the redwallers fighting against the "magic" marlfoxes. During the battle of the Marlfoxes and their troops and the redwallers, the Marlfoxes steal one of the Redwallers most prized possessions, the tapestry of Martin the Warrior (read Mossflower and Martin the Warrior for further details of this mouse warrior). One Marlfox flees from the battle with the tapestry and returns home, to castle Marl. Three young warriors run and chase the Marlfox to get the tapestry. But despite all the action, (if you've read all the other Redwall books, you'll get this statement) it seems like Brian Jacques skipped part of Redwall's vital history. Still, I recommend this book. If you like this book and can read 700-800 page books, read The Sword of Shannara.

Summary: What A Book
Review: If your looking for a book filled with adventure and quests this is the one. Magic Foxes may have been going over the limit but it still has the intriguing redwall writing in it. Not the best book in the series but close.

Summary: It was a great adventure/fantasy novel.
Review: I am only on page 40 of Marlfox but so far I can see that this book is easily going to be a 5 star rating. I would recommend this book to litteraly everyone from ages 10-any age. I'm only 12 and already getting a lot out of these books. I have read 5 of your other amazing books and and I am astounded. So, over all. I would rate this book 5 stars. But Brian Jacques deserves a lot of credit for making so many wonderful stories.

Summary: I thought that Marlfox was cool!!

Summary: Strained, One Meant For the Longtime Reader
Review: This installment of the Redwall series is one where it seemed more like he was writing for his fans other than for the fun of it. Unimaginative without much new things to it and a somewhat boring conclusion. This one will likely be added to all fans collections and then forgotten on the shelf. Though it does answer some questions to the building of Redwall Abbey and more about the island in the middle of the Great Inland Lake. It is placed after The Long Patrol, where there is neither Abbot or Abbey Warrior and suddenly the Marlfoxes appear and steal the great tapestry of Martin. Four youths will set out to recover the trapestry with a few adventures on the way. Meanwhile back at the Abbey a Marlfox has been killed and and all out war breaks loose. The abbeydwellers must know fight for their lives with the help of The Traveling Noonvale Players and Jangular Swifteye, an old sleepy-eyed warrior. What will they do? Find out but I'd only read it if you are a true fan of Redwall.
