Summary: One of the best books about a royal family I've ever read!
Review: Mary, Bloody Mary, by Carolyn Meyer is a riviting tale about Pricess Mary of the house of Tudor. Banished from her castle, Mary soon finds out about her father, King Henery's mistress, Anne. She soon learns that no more is she to see her mother, the present Queen of Engaland, who's health is runnig down hill in a romote location someplace in England. Astonished by her fathers choices, she soon finds out that this was all Anne's fault, that Anne was pointing her father against the one's he loved most. After being sent away from the castle for so long, Henery soon divorces Mary's mother and marries Anne, the new Queen of England. Soon after, Anne was expecting a baby. Then Mary soon learns that she will have to go to the castle to serve as the new roylal baby's servant. How could her father do such a thing to his own daughter that he used to call the pearl of England?Mary is stripped of her present tittle as princess and is now one of the kings many illigitament children. Does Mary become Queen of England, or does her new sister, Elizabeth become heir? You have to read this suspenceful book to find out. I gave this book five stars becouse it held me in suspence till the very last page, and let me take a look inside a young girls life of trial and suffering that was made by her own father.

Summary: You have to read this book!!!!!!!!
Review: Before I read this book, I had read a lot about Elizabeth 1, so when I started it, I pictured Mary as a bitter, cruel, and heartless person who hated her sister. But as I read on, I saw she had good reason to be bitter, even hate her sister! I think she could've been a good person, if it wasn't for her father, King Henry 8! I think he was just on the verge on of insanity, then Anne Boylen pushed him over the edge because she didn't give him a male heir, and then............... Oh, you'll just have to read the book! Trust me, if you like mystery, drama, sadness, happiness, anger, hate, death, history, fear, and love, this is the book for you! It's so realilistic, you can feel her fear, her anger, her sadness! (P.S. This makes me cry everytime I read it!)

Summary: Mary, Bloody Mary; Fun or facts?
Review: Mary, Bloody Mary by Carolyn Myers is a true story with lots of entertainment in it. This is a story about a young girl named Mary who grows up to be a woman, but from her point of view. This story shows her struggles when her father, King Henry VII, falls in love with a woman named Anne Boleyn. He will stop at nothing to rid of Mary and her mother for Anne Boleyn. Everyone in the village, including Mary, thinks Anne Boleyn is a witch, but if Anne Boleyn becomes Queen of England, Mary cannot take the throne. She is forced to sign papers, but she will not. Will she die for it, or will her father show mercy? Throughout this story, Mary encounters a hard life compared to the one she used to have. Her mother and her have been seperated, she gets the sweating sickness, and many other cliff hanging encounters. I would tell everyone that this is one of the best books there are and I would reccomend it to anyone 11 or older.

Summary: A Compelling and Unique Story
Review: Before I read this book, I was already somewhat familiar with the Tudor legacy, and I, like many other reviewers, had viewed Mary as an "evil stepsister" figure opposite Elizabeth's "Cinderella." However, after reading "Mary, Bloody Mary," my views were completely altered. I began to truly sympathize and warm up to the character of Mary, and I realized that her life was equally as difficult and painful as Elizabeth's, if not more. This compelling novel is the story of Mary Tudor, a young princess who's life is turned upside down when her father, King Henry VIII, leaves her mother, Catherine of Aragon, for Anne Boleyn, a courtier. Mary is stripped of her title of Princess of Wales and is sent away, forbidden to see her mother. When her half-sister, Elizabeth, is born, Anne Boleyn sends Mary to be a servant in Elizabeth's nursery. This book is a regular Cinderella story, except Mary is the Cinderella in this instance. This unique take on the Tudor story is a truly riveting tale with a strong heroine, and I strongly recommend it to any reader.

Summary: Mary,Bloody Mary
Review: I read the Elizabeth book in the Royal Series Dear America books, and I read of how nasty Mary was to Elizabeth. We always here of Elizabeth, and the trials of her life, but never Mary. This book gives a behind the scenes look at King Henry throught the eyes of this ill-treated duaghter of his, Mary. I could really see why she was so awful during her reign. Childhood shapes the adult, and that's what happened with her. This book is an excelent historical-fiction, and really does give you a whole new perspective on the Tudor family life-styles.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: GREAT
Review: I love historical fiction so Ithough this book was really good. I also read ELIZABETH I in the DEAR AMERICA series, which is about Mary's half sister, althoughthis book is much better. Later in her life, they called her Bloody Mary, and this book showed what she might have been like s a kid.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Mary - Bloody Mary?
Review: This book was an excellent hisorical fiction novel. It tells about Mary Tudor from when she was about 10 - 20, when her life as a princess is awful. Her father, Henry the eighth, takes a mistress, Anne, and she pretty much ruins Mary's life. When Henry marries Anne, Mary becomes illegitimate, and she becomes a servant to their child, after being banished for years.

Once you read this book you can tell why Mary became who she did in her later life. Plus this book made this bit of history very interesting!

This was a great book, and I'd recommend it for ages 12 and up. If you liked this, you'd probably like to read "Elizabeth, Red Rose of the House of Tudor" a Royal Diary that tells about Mary's half sister.
