Summary: Holes Class Review
Review: Our class read Holes together. Stanley is the main character and he does have some bad luck. He starts the book at Camp Green Lake, a sort of a prison. Holes is a great book because it's a mystery. You won't want to put this book down. If you're ready for a big adventure and lots of suspense, pick this book. Everything in Holes all comes together at the end. There's something cool about Stanley Yelnat's name. Try to figure it out.

Summary: Great for the whole family
Review: Our family (kids ages 7 & 11) listened to this on a car trip. We loved it so much, we were reluctant to get out of the car. It's a multi-faceted story that ties together charmingly at the end. We had fun guessing what would happen next.

Summary: Our class loved Holes!
Review: Our fifth-grade class listened to Holes as a read-aloud. It was one of the most interesting and exciting books we've ever read. Some of us bought the book before our teacher even finished reading it to us. We loved the author's sense of humor and the weird nicknames and names of characters in the book. Holes was like a big puzzle that kept us guessing until the very end. We loved to predict what was going to be revealed next. We never wanted the teacher to stop reading.

Summary: Louis Scachar's a Genius!
Review: Our librarian recommended that I read Holes to my 4th graders. That weekend I took it home to read because I always read a book before I read it aloud to my students. Since I am a Sachar fan, I was not surprised to find that I absolutely loved it! The surprising thing was that my students loved it just as much. Once I got into the story, they would hardly let me stop reading. The day we finished the book, I read aloud the whole reading period. My students applauded at the end. We couldn't stop talking about the way Louis Sachar tied all the characters and their stories together. We declared then and there, and still agree, that Louis Sachar is an absolute genius. When we discuss other books and authors, we always say, "That book's terrific, but it's not Holes!" or, "That author is great, but he's no Louis Sachar!" If we could, we would rate it more than 5 stars!

Summary: Dig up a good read!
Review: Over the summer I read Holes by Louis Sachar. This book is about a boy, Stanley Yelnats, who is accused of stealing a famous baseball player's shoes and is sent to Camp Green Lake. At Camp Green
Lake, you have to dig 1 hole every day, 5ft. wide and 5ft. deep, to build character. The holes are dug out on the 'lake' which is really a dry wasteland. Stanley realizes that they're not digging to build character,
they're digging for something else. What are they digging for? Find out in this funny book about digging holes.

Summary: Holes
Review: People think that putting someone in camp will help them behave. In Holes, that's true. Holes is a story about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. Police officers thought Stanley committed a crime. For his punishment,Stanley has to dig holes from sunup to sundown. He feels like he is in the desert. Read this book to see if he survives digging Holes for time. This is a great book because I think that this will give you an adventure to look forward to. You will find yourself reading this book nonestop. Enjoy this book!
