Rating: Summary: What a great book! Review: Holes was a great book that I enjoyed a lot. I have already read it twice in three days and now my grandfather who never reads any books found my book on his table, started reading it, and never put the book down until he was finished! Holes is about a yong boy named Stanley who was committed of a crime and now set of to camp green lake. When he gets there he finds not a lake, but a dried up waste land. Every day Stanley has to go out into the deserted lake and dig a hole 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide all around to build 'character'. But what Stanley finds out is that he is not digging the holes to bulid 'character' but that the conclesor is looking for something.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: Holes was a great book that kept me intertained. Never once was there a dull moment when I was reading Holes. Anyone who does not like to read (like myself) might find this book differant then other books you might have read. I also recommend this book for any age. If you might be 7 or you might be 70, I recommend this book to you. You will truly be missing out if you do not read Holes. Thank you.
Rating: Summary: HOLES IS THE BEST!!! Review: Holes was a great book with many intense moments. I love the characters and how they react with each other. Holes is a little hard because it is also a story within a story within a story so watch out for new characters. Watch out for how the characters change mentally and physically. Another way that Sachar writes is how he makes us close our eyes and picture a very deserted place with holes everywhere. Holes had many strong and weak points. How he goes into detail and how he wraps things up very quickly at the end. I think that Holes was interesting because a lot of people are related in a very small way no matter how small the relation was, even a boot.

Rating: Summary: Perfect Review: Holes was a great book. It was like a puzzle, and at the end everything went together. You have to read it! Holes actually made me put down my Harry Potter book and started me reading Holes several times. Louis Sachar is a great writer. Take advice from 10 year old me...It's REALLY GOOD!! =D
Rating: Summary: Why you should read Holes! Review: Holes was a great book. It was so exciting and interesting. Some strong points are that the things from Elya's world come into Kate's world and then to Stanley's world. The book had various cliff hangers which made it interesting and fun to read. There are lots of fun names for characters, like Barfbag. So thats why I think you should read Holes.
Rating: Summary: Why Holes was a Great Book Review: Holes was a great book. There were so many fantastic lines that will stick with you for a lifetime. Holes is a story-within a story-within a story. That sounds very confusing but it is not. My rating on Holes was a 5. Now, you should read the book Holes to experience the adventures that I did. You will be able to rate the story when you are finished reading.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review Review: Holes was a great book.It was so good that at times I really wanted to read ahead, but stopped myself because I wanted to be surprised with my class. It was so exciting, and in the end it all came together and formed a cycle or circle. This book was really cool if you thought hard about it. There were many morals of the story. One of the morals was don't judge a book by its cover meaning everyone judged a character in the story named Zero like he was stupid, but he really wasn't he was smart if you got to know him.I think this is a great book for both children and adults because it is not to hard for kids and not too easy for adults. I suggest that if you haven't read the book Holes you should.
Rating: Summary: Sachar again shows her cleverness in "Holes." Review: Holes was a great example of Sachar's magnificent writing. The story of how Stanley became friends with another juvenile criminal is amazing. Then, how they find the boat Mary Lou (Sam's old donkey) and how they found the onions that Sam probably used to sell. In the serious parts, like when the Warden smacked Mr. Sir with the rattlesnake venom up until the funny parts where the Yelnats family always blamed their rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather who was robbed by Kissin' Kate Barlow this book was a great Newberry winner.
