Rating: Summary: MR. booger boy Review: Captain underpants and the big bad battle of the bionic booger boy part 1: the night of the nasty nostril nuggets is one of Dav's best books of the captain underpants series. My favorite character is Harold he's funnier and braver when the fighting the booger boy. My favorite part is when booger boy is snot bad and senses all over the teacher Mrs. Ribble she didn't seem to mind. Have a good laugh with this book its fun
Rating: Summary: Nevermind Harry Potter, Captain Underpants RULES! Review: Captain Underpants has been a blessing! My son would not read regardless of the title of the book. Until Captain Underpants! All boys love toilet humor! My only regret is that there are not more Captain Underpants books out yet. Dav Pilkey keep them coming!
Rating: Summary: MR. booger boy Review: George Beard and Harold Hutchins have a little problem; they just can't help being themselves. And being themselves means pulling pranks at school, writing comic books that make fun of authority figures, and changing the lunch menu marquee to make rude comments. Captain Underpants is a super-hero they made up in one of their comic books. Through a series of so-ridiculous-no-one-could-believe-it events, their school principal BECOMES Captain Underpants, and it's up to these two class clowns to make sure CU doesn't endanger himself. Incredibly bad puns abound. Each book has a copy of one of the boys' "Treehouse Comics." And there are plenty of gross jokes that grade-school kids love. This is the sort of book that will get kids to read even if they otherwise hate reading. Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: Recommendation from an educator Review: I am writing this from the perspective of a reading professor and a parent. My children love these books and I recommend them!!! If you have children who are reluctant readers and/or are less-abled readers you need to introduce them to these wonderful books. Fortunately, my children love to read, and reading has never been an issue for us. But for those of you for whom it is an issue, you can be assured that most of your children will enjoy these books, and they won't grow up to be socio-paths (contrary to what some may so). Buy these and let your kids enjoy. While you're at it, let your inner-kid enjoy!!
Rating: Summary: I can' wait to get it Review: I can't wait to get this collection. These books are the best books ever I'm on the fourth book, but I've read the rest of the books though. I can't wait for the next book. I have a friend that likes these books. I wish they made some games, toys, and a show. Lots of boys like this book at my school. If you like crazy books then you should buy these books. But you should buy them at amazon.com.
Rating: Summary: Horrible, sick, disgusting . . . My kids love 'em! Review: I first got these books for my son a couple years ago when I couldn't get him to read anything else. Well, he read these books and really enjoyed them. Now he will read other books, but these are still among his favorite. My daughter is much more interested in reading, but she loves Captain Underpants, too, and thinks it's great fun to read the books out loud to me. And they are pretty funny. Some of the humor is even aimed at adults! The Captain Underpants series even inspired my daughter to write a little book about Captain Cam the Mysterious Man for an assignment that, if I may brag, was much more advanced in terms of plot development and in the creation of a protagonist and an antagonist than what her other first grade peers came up with. True, these books encourage that potty humor that kids of this age seem to find so darned amusing, but they grow out of it. You can always offer other books in addition to these, and in the meantime, Captain Underpants gets them to read. 'Nuff said.
Rating: Summary: My Son LOVED These Books!!!! Review: I have a 7 year old son who really only read when he was required to do so for school. That was until he started reading the Captain Underpants books. HE LOVES THEM!!!! When he was told it was time to go to bed he said "can't I just stay up until I finish this book". The next morning the first thing he did was pick up the book and finished it. Your kids (boys especially) will get a kick out of these books. It is so great to hear your kids reading a book and laughing OUTLOUD!!!
Rating: Summary: Reading Humor Review: I have loved reading this book to my students from the start. They seem to enjoy the book because of its content and illustrations. I must admit, they were a bit skeptical about this book because of its title, but after reading it to them, every student loved the novel and wanted an encore. If Captain Underpants gets children hooked into reading, then it should remain in every classroom them to read.
Rating: Summary: CAPTIVATING! Review: I must admit, this collection offers the most enthralling stories about underwear I've yet come across. Highly recommended!
