Rating: Summary: Great books! Wonderful for autistic kids! Review: A child will love these books. There are many pictures and colors to keep them interested. The books are also small, which is good if your child is the "grabby" type who likes to "read" for himself. I enjoyed these books, and I have no doubt that after reading them to my cousin, his vocabulary will improve greatly.

Rating: Summary: Only the best For Juasheem, my grandson! Review: Hi I am a proud grandmother of the most intelligent, grandson in the world! Yes I know all grandmothers feel that way, but I can prove it. I like these volume of books because it helps children of any age learn easier and faster. The bright colors and large print hold attention of even the youngest student. I recommend this volume set of books for any child that is trying to communicate. It will make the time you spend with your child fun and educational. Sincerely, Happy Grandma!
Rating: Summary: They'll be your child's favorites Review: I bought these for my son when he was 14 months old, along with several others in the series. I wish I had bought them earlier. I can't even count how many times we have gone through these books at bedtime -- even now at nearly 3 years old, my son pulls them from his bookshelf again and again. You'll be amazed what they do for your child's vocabulary. I'll be getting a brand new set for my new daughter. (My son's set has seen a lot of wear & tear!) These are great because as your child grows, there are also other formats available for older children -- lift-the-flap and regular paper formats.
Rating: Summary: Must have learning Review: I got these for my son for his first birthday and now that we have another child, I have bought her another set of her own. They were my son's favorite books. They are the right size for him to hold by himself and he can sit for a hour just looking at the pictures and trying to remember what they are. I recommend these books for every child. They are great to look through with your child or for your child to read alone.
Rating: Summary: A slow start, but a BIG Finish Review: I guess I've been pushing books on my kids since they could barely hold their heads up. I bought this set for my toddler when he was an infant because they were board books and he really did (and does) love books. At first, I thought it was just another set of books because he had some others that seemed to be his favorite. Well, now that he's 2, he seems to go back to this set again and again, especially the "first words" book at this point. He takes it in the car and it entertains him for some time because I hear him going through it and saying all the different pictures which is many. It covers everything from body parts, to clothing, to animals, to colors, to shapes. It was my fault thinking when he was younger that he'd like these, but now he just loves these books.
Rating: Summary: very good quality; pages are laminated in plastic Review: I recently bought this set and "Baby's First Library: The Runaway Bunny, Big Red Barn, Goodnight Moon" for a 10 month old. Both sets are wonderful. However, quality wise this set is better: in this latest edition, each page is laminated with a thin layer of plastic. The "Goodnight Moon" set has only cover pages laminated; the inside pages are just paper. With a small child who occasionally cuts his teeth on a book, it is easy to clean up food stains on a laminated page. I don't know whether the earlier editions are the same; my set is printed and bound in China.
Rating: Summary: A must have for any child Review: My 21 month old son loves the book's clear pictures and uncluttered nature. The format is great for learning the names of objects, colors, numbers, etc. We now play "where is the ...". The past six months have made these board books so well worn I will have to buy new ones for my younger son.
Rating: Summary: Great books for any kid! Review: My son is 18 months, and these have been his favorite books for a long time. Compact, a good size for him, and good for travelling. The photos seem to appeal more to my son than the cartoon graphics in many childrens book. They are so popular with my son, that they have been used so much that they will need replacing before too long. Not that this any problem with the books themselves, just heavy use! You cannot go wrong with this set.
Rating: Summary: Great books! Wonderful for autistic kids! Review: My son is autistic and we have several books from this author, but this set of 3 is my favorite! There are so many wonderful pictures and the pictures are of things that are very interesting to little kids. I've also used many of the pictures in these books as part of our PECS program. My son just loves these and even my 6 year old daughter likes to try to read the words in the books. They're so sturdy they'll last me through my infant son's childhood as well.
