Summary: "Each morsel is a joy, a celebration in a bun!"
Review: This little picture book story about a seriously on-edge pigeon who happens to find an uneaten hot dog, and the battle of wits that ensues between the adorable, and sharp little Duckling and greedy pigeon, is a pure joy; each morsel of it!

With illustrations that look like they came straight from a "learn to draw" book for preschoolers, and incredibly funny diologue between crazed Pigeon and wary Duckling, provides a great lesson about sharing, but the moral might well be lost in the entertainment that comes from reading this. Absolutely wonderful!

Also recommended:"Don't let the Pigeon drive the Bus!" where our friend Pigeon loses it big time, when no one will let him drive the bus!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A pigeon with personality
Review: We fell in love with the pigeon in "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus," and now we love the duckling, too. This book doesn't encourage as much interaction as the first, but the lesson of sharing it teaches is long-lasting.

There are just a handful of books that toddlers and parents enjoy enough to read every night -- sometimes three or four times. This is at the top of that list.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great lesson in simple words.
Review: Who couldn't like the pigeon and now we meet a new friend. We weren't as thrilled with this book as we were with "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" but the lesson at the end makes up for that. Mo Willems has made two very lovable characters with strong personalities!! It's amazing that a book with such little dialogue can catch your heart. I miss the interaction of the first book but the lesson of sharing is one that you can't beat.
