My First Dinosaur Board Book (My First series)

Summary: Our 27-mo. old daughter and we like it a lot
Review: I purchased this for our daughter when she decided that she loved dinosaurs. (We also got a couple sets of the Animal Safari "toob" and boxed dinosaurs for her to play with, and she loves those, too, but they might be too much of a choking risk if your child puts a lot in his/her mouth or plays with them unsupervised.) We're very careful about what we give her, and what we let her see (BabySongs videos or The Wiggles is pretty much the extent of her viewing) or read, and we actually like the depth and breadth of the book. Neither our daughter nor we find the pictures scary. We like it as well as the others we have from the series.

Summary: I bought this for my 2 year old daughter, what a mistake
Review: She has the rest of the books in this series, and loves dinosaurs... so I figured I found a keeper. I got it home and looked at the pictures and they scared ME! It's totally innappropriate for wee (and even not-so-wee) ones, in my opinion. The dinosaurs are *really* scary, and would virtually guarantee some serious nightmares at our house. I returned it without letting her see it.
