Heartland No. 16: Holding Fast

Summary: Best book ever read
Review: WHen Amy and her sister Lou return from Australia they are very happy to be home. When Lou announces her engagement to Scott Terwin, the local vet, their grandpa's girlfriend Nancy is eager to help plan for the wedding. Lou feels that Nancy is taking her mother's place and is very upset until she finds that she is noth the only one who has suffered loss.
Meanwhile Ben, One of Heartland's two stable hands, makes plans to leave. Amy andthe others are pressed to find a new stable hand. Finally they find one who turns out to be perfect. She is very interested in Heartland's alternative methods and also helps find a cure for an unusual case in one of the horses that come into Heartland. His name Venture, he is a police horse that was injured in a recent storm. (the same on that left Ty, the other stable hand in a coma for weeks) All types of conventional methods have been tried on him and nothing seems to help. He's been Xrayed and inspected and there is not apparent problem. Amy is confident that her methods will help Venture, But when she tries they seem to have no effect. He tenses when she massages him and doesn't care for the essential oils and other natural remedies. When Amy is at the end of the rope, out of ideas to help Venture, the new stable hand really proves her worth when she finds a cure for the seemingly hopeless police horse.
I REALLY enjoyed this book The last couple heartland books were kind of disappointing. I know Lauren Brooke has awesome talent as an author and it really shines in this series! This is one of my favorite books in the series I think it desereves WAY more than 5 stars!!!!!!! Way to go!

Summary: Surprise Surprise
Review: Great book Lauren. This book starts off were number 15 left off. Amy, Scott and Lou get off of the plane in virgina. Dazzle leaves Heartland. Lou isn't sure if she wants the wedding because Mom won't be there and Amy is lost in some of her emotions about Lou leaving Heartland. All in all a few spoilers that I won't reveal and much more. Great book.

Review: Holding fast was a great book! Heartland has a new horse named Venture to heal. He was damaged in the same storm that Ty was in! The remedies that never fail are having no effect on poor venture and amy loses faith in herself as well. Lou is upset about having her wedding without her mother there and when Nancy buts in Lou freaks out! She later finds out that Nancy had a duaghter who died. She then realizes that Nancy was only trying to help her and she feels guilty for yelling at her. Heartland is desperate when the turn to the new stable hand's mother ( BEN LEFT!!:< )who is a vet. They try a new method on Venture but you'll have to read to find out what. Sorry that i spoiled it for you people who havent read it but it was so0o0o good. i love the heartland series!!!!!!!!!

Review: it took me a while 2 get into this book,but im soooooo glad i read it.ok so 1rst amy cant seem 2 get any where with the new arrival venture,and then she finds out that ben is leaving heartland.lou begins 2 get irritated at nancy but no one knows why until amy talks 2 her.and then a new stable hand joni comes 2 take bens place.she fits in really well and even manges 2 give amy some ideas on how 2 help venture.
