Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: We purchased this book after having read Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type. We love Doreen Cronin's book (she has one about the Diary of a Worm) and Betsy Lewin's illustrations. Duck is up to no good once again, while Farmer Brown is out of town. So much for being a neutral party! A wonderful book to add to any collection, whether you're an adult or purchasing for a child.
Rating: Summary: Wish I could give it 4.5 - a real charmer Review: We started with Click, Clack, Moo but I like this book better. This one has the same warm and funny illustrations, the same wit, and it's not boring to read to your kids over and over and over again. The downside to CCM was its political/union overtones. The only downside to Giggle, Giggle, Quack is the ending kind of fizzles unlike the charming and unexpected ending in CCM.
Rating: Summary: Very entertaining tale Review: While this is a great book for kids, everyone will enjoy it more if they have read Click Clack Moo - Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin. See if your kids find the subtle clues about who's behind all the mischief. (it's duck - again!). This book and its predecessor are the only ones to eclipse Dr. Suess in popularity at our house at story time.
