Summary: Penguins and polar bears don't live on the same pole!?
Review: After reading the facts at the end of the book I learned that penguins live in the south pole and polar bears live in the north pole.
I don't know if that is a widely known fact or not, but that was news to me!
(I even had to verify it - don't they always put penguins and polar bears together in those holiday commercials and cartoons!?)
My 6 year old ate up these facts and and liked the story and cd. He particularly liked the bear (and his wild imagination).

Summary: New Classic for Kids!
Review: As a father of three I have read my share of children's books. But there are 3 things I really I like about Jorge's Pookie and Tushka: 3 things that set it apart from the majority of children's books that I have run into. First, the degree of care and skill that has gone into the production, from the beautiful illustrations, to the CD of games and songs is wonderful. Most other kid books seem rushed by comparison. Second, this book deals with a deeper and subtler set of emotions than most other children's books do. Pookie and Tushka is a wonderful exploration of friendship and trust that I have never read before. Finally, this book is for kids and it doesn't talk down to them--it speaks directly to them. We adults are just along for the ride.

Review: I got this book based on the good reviews. I was disappointed. I think it's strange and the CD/music is techno. Not what I expected for reading level baby-preschool. It was too long of a read to hold my child's attention. Maybe it would be better for children 5 and up.

Summary: I love Tushka
Review: I like the idea of them being from diffrent parts of the world and getting together. I think tushka is adorable. I went to the website and saw that its available as a stuffed animal, I got to get one, (uh for my niece, yes thats it). The contrast between Pookie and Tushka is great, it shows that two beings from extream parts of the world getting together a nice friendship.

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It's a perfect book for anyone with or without children. Beautifully illustrated, it's a truly great story that teaches life long lessons of friendship, caring and love. A must have for any library! And an added bonus...it comes with a free game CD with even more amazing graphics and games!

Summary: My Kids Love It!
My Kids Love It!
Review: I've read Pookie and Tushka to my children over and over again. Every time we read it, we notice subtleties in the illustrations that really capture the emotion and environment of the characters. My seven year old son and four year old daughter are hooked, and I must say it's a children's book that I really enjoy reading too. In addition, the book came with a CD full of educational and fun content that has kept my children occupied for hours... worth the price of the book in itself.

Review: My daughter loves this book. I read it to her at least 3 times a week! It's a very heart warming story about two best friends. She also loves the fun games that come on the free computer CD. I would highly recommend this book to anyone with young children, or as a great gift idea.

Summary: Pookie and Tushka
Review: Pookie and Tushka is certainly one the most romantic children books I have had the pleaure to read. It makes me think of The Little Prince, and everytime I read it to my two children I feel as if the baby-inside-me remerged.I must confess that the illustrations are beautifully realized, and the story is really touching. My sons love Pookie and Tushka, and they also love the interactive cd rom that came along with the book. Definitely, a "must have" or a "must buy"

Review: The first thing that attracted me to this book was the beautiful pictures. But the story had more depth than I expected (for a picture book, anyway).
The characters are very caring for each other and the story, which is a bit melancholic, has a sweet and happy ending. The bonus CD is a very nice addition to the book, since you get to hear Pookie's song, which is what the story revolves around.

Review: This book has quickly become one of my daughter's favorite books.
She loves "Pookie" and "Tushka" and likes drawing them all the time.
She also likes the educational "Cool Facts" at the end of the book and the CD. This is a beautiful book with a nice story that is appropriate for young children.
