Rating: Summary: The Day We Met You Review: This book closely mirrored our own adoption experience. Family and friends were a big part and the book includes it in a very simple and friendly way. I love it and my daughter loves it.
Rating: Summary: Okay, but one-dimensional Review: This book is an okay book for those just beginning to talk with their kids about their adoption stories. In simple language it tells about the day they met. In my experience as an adoption professional, though, most adoption stories--at least domestic--include some contact with the birth mom and/or dad and perhaps their families. This book would be richer if it were revised to include that contact.
Rating: Summary: Less is more Review: This is a beautiful, simple, and sweet story, very well told and illustrated. I agree with a previous writer that the great adoption book is yet to be written, but as sheer poetry and as an upbeat, positive message, this is one of the best books out there.

Rating: Summary: Loving shower gift for adoptive parents Review: This is my favorite book about adoption. I found myself in tears when I finished the book. The text is simple but speaks directly to the heart. The parents narrate all the concrete steps they took the day they receive the call to pick up their new baby. The crayon illustrations convey a beautiful sense of warmth and love. Both children and adults will find themselves drawn to the purity of expression in both writing and illustrations.Carol E. Watkins, M.D.
Rating: Summary: Very Touching Book Review: Very touching book. Short, sweet and full of warm fuzzies.
