Rating: Summary: Stephanie's Ponytail: Copy Cats Review: A fun story that demonstrates the power of independence and a young girl's abilty to stand up for herself and what she believes in.It's a great book to shows kids that self assurance can be an asset and that conformity and being a copy cat my leave you bald and ugly.
Rating: Summary: The Funniest Book Review: I think that this is the coolest book. Stephanie goes to school everyday with a different hair style and the next day everyone copies her. I love this book and I think the ending is so hilarious.
Rating: Summary: Stephanie's Ponytail Review: My 7 & 5 yr old girls thought this book was very funny and could relate to Stephanie's frustration with all the copycats. Stephanie's different ponytail styles added to the fun since we tried them all once we were done reading (and laughing).

Rating: Summary: Stephanie's Ponytail Review: Stephanie decides to be unique and wear her hair in a ponytail to school. Everyone ridicules her, but then wear their hair the same as Stephanie the next day. This frustrates Stephanie so the next day she wears a different type of ponytail. The copying continues, bringing Stephanie's frustration to an all time high. Finally she blurts out that she will "shave her head!" Wanting to be like Stephanie, the students, principal, teachers, and animals all shave their heads only to find Stephanie enter school with a 'nice ponytail coming out the back'.
Robert Munsch, the author, includes a conflict between Stephanie and her peers, keeping the audience curious as to what will happen next.
The writing style allows the reader to use great expression and includes the audience with the repetitive text.
Michael Martchenko, the illustrator, uses expressive pictures to give the story added detail. The audience is laughing before they hear the words on the page.
When I read this book to my class, they beg for it again and again!
Rating: Summary: Stephanie's Ponytail Review: Stephanie's Ponytail is a comical picture book that children in the primary grades would find entertaining. All children will be able to relate to Stephanie, who finds that her classmates want to copy all of her hairstyles. The illustrations are vibrant and laughable. The details in the illustrations add plot to the story and will intrigue readers. The text is written in a fun, light-hearted way and is sure to get a laugh. This book can be used to embrace the idea of being different and the importance of individualtity in a variety of classrooms.
Rating: Summary: I never tire of reading it & still laugh every time I do! Review: Stephanie's ponytail is a wonderful story to read aloud to children. It provides for a humorous way to teach about copying what other people do. I am a second grade teacher and have put multiple copies in our class library for the children to read themselves. Because they have heard me read it, and because of the repitition it contains, even my lower readers are able to enjoy it and feel some success at the same time. It has become a class favorite!
Rating: Summary: My Book Review Review: Stephanies Ponytail is an easy reading, fun and entertaining book. It is a story about Stephanie, her family, her teacher and her classmates. She is the fashion leader of her class and all of the other kids copy her. She gets tired of the kids copying her hair styles, so she has a surprise for them at the end of the book.
Rating: Summary: We love all the Robert Munsch books ! Review: The second graders at Mt. Vernon Elementary have voted Stephanie's Ponytail their favorite Robert Munsch book ! We have a kiddo in our class named Stephanie and she always wears her hair in a ponytail. This book is so very funny and we really like the way the illustrator drew the pictures. If you have a second grader at home, we think he or she will love this book !
