Rating: Summary: great book! Review: This is a marvelous book! I had it while growing up and have been looking for a copy for the past 10 years. At one point I was going to pay $150 for a copy because it was no longer in print, so I am happy this book is back in print! I now have a 6 month old baby girl and I cant wait to read it to her when she gets older. I even bought a copy to keep at my moms house for the grandkids.
Rating: Summary: Cheers! Review: Another great book reprinted by Purple House Press! If you are looking for twaddle-free reading for your children, then this one comes highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: Another great kids book Review: I can't count the number of times my sister and begged my mother to read this to us. Very enjoyable reading. Rhyming verses keep hold of the listeners and the pictures have many "discoveries" and discussion points.Yet another book with a message about diversity, self worth and overcoming challenges. Glad it's back in print and it is another that I have passed down to the younger generation in my family.
Rating: Summary: Great Book!! Review: I loved this book as a kid, and still get a kick out of reading it now and again. I will keep it forever!!
Rating: Summary: A must have in any young readers book collection. Review: I was absolutely thrilled to see this book back in print. I have searched for YEARS for this wonderful little gem. It was a favorite of mine when I was little. I had my parents read it to me nearly every night and now I have a new copy to read to my own children as my original copy is quite tattered and has been "loved to death."
As a child, the imagery of the pictures were magical and the heart warming message in the story is something young readers today will still love.
I highly recommend this book and applaud the published for re-releasing this classic!
Rating: Summary: I love this book!! Review: Miss Twiggley's Tree is a great ole time classic that both my mother and I have been able to share. This book has always been at my grandma's house and just this week i found it and was able to share it with some of my youngest cousins who fell in love with it also. My Grandma read it to my mom when it was first published, and now, i have been given it to be able to some day read it to my children.. If you are looking for a book to read to your children that they will be able to share with everyone they know, i strongly suggest this one.
Rating: Summary: Welcome home, Miss Twiggley Review: Over twenty years ago, when Miss Twiggley's Tree won the Parents' Magazine Press Award, the world was a very different place. Still, today's children share with their historic counterparts the need to find characters full of life and books full of whimsy and unpredictability. Dorothea Warren Fox's Miss Twiggley is such a character in such a book. Though afraid of the world around her, Miss Twiggley manages to put aside her fears to comfort her neighbors and lead them to safety. The message of thinking of others in a time of need is never more needed than today. Well written and beautifully illustrated, this re-release is a delightful resuurection of a timeless classic. Brought back to bookstore shelves and into children's lives, Miss Twiggley and her cherished pets still live in a tree, and will stay in the hearts and minds of children even forever.
Rating: Summary: great book! Review: This is the best children's book ever written! I read it so many times as a child I still have it memorized. Technically it was my older brother's book and I've been trying to find a copy for years. .... It's well written and illustrated and has a wonderful moral: it's okay to be different! Every child should have a copy.

Rating: Summary: Timeless Message Review: This was my very favorite book as a child (in the late 60s/early 70s). I absolutely loved the pictures and the message of the book. The respect for animals and people, regardless of their differences, made an impact on me that is evident in my outlook on life today. When my husband pulled Miss Twiggley's Tree from the bookshelf of my childhood books I had (thankfully) saved to read to our two year old son, I was pleased. I was even more moved when both of them fell in love with the book themselves. When my son asks if we can read Miss Twiggley's Tree in his wonderful voice, my heart melts. I was thrilled to see it was still available. Thank you to Dorothea Warren Fox for a truly timeless story. It brings back wonderful memories and fosters hope for the future.
