Summary: The Journal of William Thomas Emerson
Review: Have you ever wanted to live in Revolutionary War times?Maybe to be a spy? Because I would recommend this book to anyone who has a sense of adventure. William the main character is a orphen and is token in by a cavern keeper in Bosten. He always decided to go on missions and spy on British. I would also recommend this book to someone who wishes she or he had no parents.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great book for a young history buff
Review: I read this book to my 6 year old who is interested in the Revolutionary war. It was hard to find a book to tell about this period of time that was fitting for a 6 year old child. He was on the edge of his seat though most of the story and begged me to read "just one more page"

It is written in journal form so you learn about the people he meets and everything that happens first hand. At the end it tells you what happened to each person from the story...the part my son found most interesting.

Summary: Super Mega Ultra Krunk Review
Review: I thought this was a very good book, because of how it tells about the revolutionary war in a young boys perspective. He becomes a spy and has to do a secret mission for a man who picked him up on the side of the road. My family has never been struck by lighnting, but I have been picked up on the side of the road.

Summary: A fairly good book.
Review: In this story Will helps with the revolution by spying and assisting deserters from the British army etc. But I was more interested in the everyday life of running a tavern. I really liked Will's dog Queen George. I own a Newfoundland myself, and I know how rambunctious they can be. All in all it was a good story. A few things I noticed though: It says that Will's name is William Thomas Emerson, but people didn't usually have middle names till the 1800s. Also, after Will's friend Henry was beaten to death by British soldiers Will hardly seemed to care. He recorded Henry's funeral in a rather cool objective manner and hardly mentioned Henry after that. It doesn't seem right, which is why I gave the story four stars instead of five.

Summary: The boring life of a colonial kid
Review: It wasn't very good in my opinion. It is about a 12 year old boy in 1774. His parents die and he runs away to Boston and lives with Mr. Wilson. He becomes a patriot messenger and helps find things out about the British.

Summary: A True Patriot
Review: The Journal of William Thomas Emerson is a story of a 12-year-old orphan boy. He makes friends in Boston, Massachusetts after his family died in a tragic fire. He learns of the horrors of the war, that he never thought was true. He loses a friend or two in the struggle for American freedom and finds that he, himself is a patriot awaiting for liberty. He puts his life in danger to help a group of patriots find the American cause. When his friend Henry is in danger, he is a true friend and finds the one thing that is necessary for him to say goodbye. This historical fiction book is a great book, and I recommend that you buy it.

Summary: About this journal
Review: This book was a good book.Even though I hate reading I still read it.This book is mainly about a boy named William Thomas Emerson. His parents die and he runs away to Boston. He gets a family at a motel and becomes a messager to find things out about the war.The only problem I thought with this book was they didn't tell about the war. This book told about what happened in the beginning, but at the end when everyone chose to leave Boston from the war Will stayed and that was it.This book had good titles for things,Interesting hook, and had a nice change of seasons and time.Overall I'd give this book an 8/10.

Summary: This was good...
Review: This book was good for a My Name is America book. Most My Name is America's r boring. But this was okay. It really told you how it was for a middle-class family felt & what they had to do in that point of history. This book isn't just about all the rich, important people- like most books like this r, but this is a journal of an ordinary boy. Good book, & if you need a quick book report, this is a good book 4 that. I probably wouldn't read this again, but it was worth reading.

Rating: 5 stars
