Summary: The Best Loved Doll was my Best Loved Story as a little girl
Review: I had no idea so many other people had read this book as a child! I have a daughter now and couldn't find my original copy, which I know is buried somewhere in my basement. I was thrilled when I found the listing. Seeing the front cover again brought tears to my eyes. I love this book and can't wait to share it with my little girl!

Review: I have been looking for this book for my daughter because it was clearly my very favorite book when I was a child. The description of the other dolls in the book and all of their individual attributes sent my imagination reeling. I also remember learning how to find beauty in all things from reading this book. A must read for girls everywhere!

Summary: The best book!
Review: I love this book! This was my favorite when I was a little girl. I just finished reading my 1975 printing that I had as a child to my daughters and am buying a new one for them because they want mine but it's just too frail for a 5 and 6 year old to share. I was so pleased to get on here and see that I can buy a copy for each of them so they can pass it on to their little girls when they're mommies. If you've never heard of this book, buy it, you'll love it! It's priceless the memories that it will make for your children to share later in life about their own favorite toy/doll.

Summary: My Favorite Childhood Book!
Review: I still have the 1962 paperback edition and the pages are so brittle. I get all choked up reading it to my own daughter now, as I used to when my mother read it to me. It is 30 pages and tells the tender story of a girl named Betsy and her decision to bring her Best-Loved doll to a party. It is a doll that has seen better days. She had many other choices, but she followed her heart. Moral: True beauty is on the inside. I treasure this book as much as Betsy does her doll.
