Review: Cherie Bennett does a wonderful job in this book which is now a cable TV movie. This is a great book for many ages that will touch your soul & remind people how great the value of life & sibling friendships. It also teaches the value of organ donation. Please, if you are not a registered organ donor please become one & be sure to let your family & friends know your wishes...it is the best gift anyone could ever give or receive. My 4 yr.old son was born with a severe heart defect & after 3 open heart surgeries we are told his heart will wear out sooner & he will someday need a heart transplant. 40,000 BABIES A YEAR ARE BORN WITH A HEART DEFECT. http://www.angelfire.com/oh4/brettsheart

Summary: Searching For David's Heart
Review: I've read a lot of good books, but Searching For David's Heart was by far the best book I have ever read. After sixteen year old David's death, his younger sister Darcy and her best friend Sam are in search of the child who has David's donated heart. This book will take you on a great journey from a small town in Wisconsin to Miami Florida.Once Darcy and Sam find the boy with David's heart, they ask his family to come to Wisconsin to spend Christmas with her parents, and family. This book turns into an amazing unforgettable story. You will not be able to put it down.It will make you happy as well as make you cry.I haven't read any other books by Cherie Bennett, but I know I will.If Cherie Bennett's other books have the same feelings and emotions to them,as in Searching For David's Heart,I'm absolutly sure I'll love them.

Summary: A Beautiful and Touching Story...
Review: It's about a girl and an older brother (David), who both seems to be like close friends than a brother or sister. The girl seems to also admire him and likes the attention David gives her...until another girl came into the picture and it's like a love triangle situation. Darcy (David's sister) didn't like sharing the attention with the girlfriend of David's that something happened: David died after him and Darcy got into an argument. Now everything change for Darcy and she felt guilty about what happened that she thinks that the heart of David's (which someone has from a heart transplant) will show that David is still alive somehow. So, Darcy set out a journey that she (and the reader) won't ever forget and Darcy realize things that she never did realize before.
I read this story 2 times now and it touch my heart. It probably will touch your heart too...

Summary: Right to the Heart
Review: Searching for David's Heart is my favorite book that I have ever read....and i read a lot of books..no joke. I love this book so much i read it twice. I cried horribly both times. There were tears on the page because i was crying so hard and i was so into the book i couldnt get a tissue to wipe my tears away. The book is about dee dee and her search for her brothers heart. It touches you in such a way. I laughed at sam and cried because it was like I was there with darcy and i felt her pain. Cherie Bennett did a wonderful job of explaining the characters in detail. All ages should read this book it is amazing. It touched me in a way that no other book ever is able to. It is my favorite book of all time.

Summary: Searching for David's Heart
Review: The book is about a girl named Darcy Deeton, or Dee Dee. Although her life wasn't perfect, it was all good, for David, her older brother, was always by her side, no matter what, and her best (and only) friend, Sam Wiess. All of this changes, however, when one day David meets his soul-mate: Jayne Evans; from that day one David spent more time with her, and Darcy becomes jealous and calls her the J-Word. It becomes even worse when Darcy finds out that David invited her to her birthday party; angry, she runs upstairs. However, just when she goes up to forgive him, she finds out that the whole thing was Jayne's idea. Now she is even more bitter, and she tells David that she wishes that he was dead! (...)

I liked the story because it has something that a lot of people can relate to, even though your loved ones didn't die, I think it still is worth it to read. It also teaches a lesson: when someone dies, it's for a good purpose. As Winston Pawling, an 11 year old African American boy who got David's heart as a transplant says, "I used to lie up here and make deals with God. Like, if God would give me one year to be normal, like my friends, just one, I'd give Him anything He wanted." This showed that David died not because Darcy may suffer, but so that Wiston may live on.

This book also goes with adventure as well as tradegy, which is what I like to hear. Sam and Darcy travel all the way to Miami just to look for David's heart. Untill they get there, they also travel through USA. Another reason why I like this book so much is how Darcy is a lot like me. Although I don't wish to grow up as fast as she does, both of us can relate to the past and the present. For one thing, both of us don't like love, the "girlfriend and boyfriend" kind of thing. As it says in the book, "But now I knew that love was a poisonous thing. It had turned me into a murderer. I would die with my secret before I could tell."

My favorite part in the book was when Darcy finally found out that David loves her, no matter what, and forgives her. For one thing, she doesn't feel guilty anymore. Instead, it's the other way around. She now feels free, and this is how I feel whenever I feel really guilty. This part shows that now this is the ending of the story, and yet, David's heart and soul isn't. In fact, to Darcy, he is still alive.

Summary: Searched- and found a great book!
Review: This is a touching book that made me never want to stop reading. Darcy is a sixth grader who loves her older brother David so much. He means the world to her. Then he gets this girlfirend, who he seems to love more than Darcy. But Darcy can't accept that- she hates the girlfriend. Then on her birthday David got them both the same gift, which Darcy later found out was the girlfriends idea. She starts to run away- David chases after her and gets killed. This is where the book starts to get intense. David's heart is soon transfered to another hospital and is donated to someone else. Darcy belives that if she finds the heart reciever,(who lives in Florida)she can still feel davids heart. Then she takes her best friend on a runaway journey to find the 12 year boy from Miami who recieved David's heart. They face many challenges, but work together to accomplish their goal-to find David's heart. It was an interesting book. I loved it, and so will you!!!
