Rating: Summary: Those editorial reviewers are WRONG! Review: I was utterly astonished to read the three so-called editorial reviews that all called Poppleton unoriginal etc. etc. My two children--one just reading on his own, the other a preschooler--both love, love, love Poppleton. We have literally memorized every single book. Ignore the experts and go with your gut on this one. Every book is gentle and funny and wry and unpredictable.
Rating: Summary: great value teaching for kids, and funny for parents too Review: My daughter loves these books, and always asks me to find more. They combine a quirky personality with good solid values, giving food for discussion as well as a chance to laugh together. The language is also quite simple and so my daughter is attempting to read it herslef.Warmly recommended.

Rating: Summary: Poppleton rules! Review: This book is wildly funny. My son, who is in kindergarten and just started reading, adored it. He's read all of the Poppleton books now and hope they keep coming. Extremely original and entertaining (Even for Mom!) I think the reviewers missed the boat on this one. Brevity is the soul of wit, and here's proof.
Rating: Summary: 2nd graders just LOVE the Poppleton stories! Review: We are 2nd graders at the Anna Merritt Elementary School in Lockport, NY. We have read the Poppleton books with Ms. F. Our names are M. and J. Our favorite book is Poppleton. The characters are Poppleton, Fillmore, Hudson, and Cherry Sue. M. liked the part when Poppleton grew the tree. J. liked the part when Poppleton had a cold. We hope Cynthia Rylant writes many more Poppleton books!
Rating: Summary: Poppleton rules! Review: With so many books that insult the intelligence of little kids, it was refreshing to see one that is funny and clever and well-illustrated all at the same time! Poppleton is great fun for kids and their parents. We can't wait for more Poppleton books to read. These are funny stories in the tradition of George and Martha by James Marshall.
