Summary: A good book about animals who stay at a strange hotel
Review: Howlday Inn , a book by James Howe, is all about a dog named Harold and a cat named Chester. They could hardly believe it! The Monroes were going on vacation with out them! The familys rabbit would be staying with a nieghboor. But the family's dog and cat, wre to stay with strangers at the Chateau Bow-Wow. No sooner had Harold and Chester settled into thier bungloos, thier cages, than Louise, a French poodle involved in a messy love triangle dissapered.Chester believed the six other guest were capable of anything even murder. Ther was a pair of Dachshounds who howled at the moon and were rumored to be half werewolf,Lyle,A crazy catwho was convincedhe was a secret agent. There was also Max,Louises husband,Gorgette,a flirt and taxi max's best friend. All Herold and Chester knew was that inspite of themselves they had entered the crime detection buisness ansd neither foul play nor foul weather would stip them from finding out who did it. This book was a very thrilling book. Throught the whole book i was suspicious about all of the characters. I felt as if I was really there with all of the animals, and there problems. The story had a wonderful dialouge and irristisable characters.I recommend this book to many people of all ages.

Summary: Howliday Innn is cool if u like mysteries you'll LOVE! this
Review: Howliday Inn is an interesting book about two animals by the names of Chester, and Harold. All the other guests are all hiding something. There is even a murder!A new dog comes into the picture, his name is Howie. My favorite character is lyle, X3 the secret agent. Louise, Max, and Georgette, who are all involved in a love triangle, are only part of what this book has to offer thats interesting.

This book is my favorite out of all the bunnicula books because there is so much stuff that Chester and Harold go through. Some people may agree with me but, I think it was better when it was just Harold, Chester, and Bunnicula. Personally I think Howie is annoying.

Summary: A Wonderful Book Read With a Wonderful Voice
Review: Howliday Inn is written for children but is enjoyable for any age group with its humor and clever plotline. The main characters, a dog and a cat named Harold and Chester respectively, are a lot of fun to relate to and sympathize with, and a colorful group of minor characters complements them perfectly. The mystery is suspenseful and it is fun to try to guess the outcome. Hearing Victor Garber, a very talented actor with an amazing voice, reading makes the book an even better experience. He has a voice for each character, and they are not overdone, they are subtle and exactly right. Overall it is a fun and relaxing way to spend time. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Fantastic Animal Mystery for Middle Readers
Review: Pete and Toby Monroe, along with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe, are going on vacation, and, thanks for Harold's tendency to get carsick, they have decide to leave both him, and Chester at Chateau Bow-Wow, a supposed four-star hotel for dogs and cats. It seems like a boring place to Harold and Chester, until the first night, when they are trying to get some sleep, and they hear a horrendous howling, causing Chester to rename Chateau Bow-Wow, Howliday Inn. Chester becomes convinced almost instantly that there are werewolves among them at the hotel, and begins investigating. But pretty soon Harold and Chester have even more to investigate, because animals begin disappearing, and there are rumors of murder spreading around. Now it's up to Chester and Harold to solve the case, before their check-out time from Howliday Inn comes sooner than expected.

After reading THE MISFITS by James Howe, I thought that I'd check out another one of his novels, which led to my purchase of HOWLIDAY INN. This is one of the best books that I have ever read for children and pre-teens. The characters are intelligent and witty, and speak in such a simple way that children of all ages will be able to understand what is going on in the plot. Not only that, readers will be able to help Chester and Harold solve the mystery, while also getting a good laugh out of the quirky personalities of the other boarders at Chateau Bow-Wow. A must have book for all kids ages 6-13, as HOWLIDAY INN is something that even the most reluctant reader will be unable to put down.

Summary: Bunicula is mysteriously absent, but the mystery remains...
Review: This is a worthy book in the Bunicula saga. Bunicula books are our daughter's favorite, although her mom and dad prefer the Fairy Realm series.

Try the first Bunicula book. If you like it, read the rest. They're fun.

Summary: Wonderful!!!
Review: This is my favorite of all the Bunnicula books. Harold and Chester are sent for a bone-chilling week at "Howliday Inn" and immediately get plunged into mystery, mayhem, and murder! All the guests seem to have something to hide or are very strange, at any rate: Louise, Max, and Georgette, who are all involved in a love triangle, Howard and Heather, the howling "werewolf" dachshunds, Taxi, a rather stupid dog who idolizes Max, and my fave, Lyle, the secret agent cat! X3 This is much, MUCH better than the sequel Return to Howliday Inn. You must read this one!! There's real crimes to solve!

The only complaint I have is the addition of Howie at the end. Some may disagree with me, but I prefered things when it was just Harold and Chester (and Bunnicula). I dunno . . . Howie seems like a fifth wheel to me . . . a completely unnecessary character added for a few laughs XD But that's a minor complaint. Read the book, whether you like Howie or not! ^__~

Summary: uhh...Title
Review: This sequel to "Bunnicula" is refreshing in the fact that it doesn't linger on, or reuse past ideas or plt lines. This is clear from the begining, as through most of the book (the longest of all the bunnicula books at almost 200 pages) Bunnicula, the vampire rabbit, is nowhere to be found. Instead we find our heros, Chester the Cat, and Harold the Dog shipped off to a bording kennel while the MOnroes are on vacation. Like the previous book, and all of the books yet to come, this novel is filled with mystery, and laughs. What I like most about the Bunnciula novels, is that James Howe doesn't talk down to his readers, like you find in most childrens books today *AHEM, series of unfortunate events*...Sorry...I'm allergic to something maybe.
