Rating: Summary: One of my favorite love stories ever (seriously) Review: I have to laugh at some of the other reviews of this book. "Sentimental slop"? Okay, that reviewer has his opinion. If this is slop, then I'm hopelessly sloppy. And, sure, the peach is going to "rot " (that reviewer must be a comedian), but little kids don't know that! This is a tale of caring, togetherness, appreciating the beauty in what we sometimes overlook, working together to achieve a goal, and pure friendship. All great attributes for children to be exposed to and for us adults to be reminded of.
Rating: Summary: A sweet and gentle book! Perfect for bedtime. Review: I love this book. With it's beautiful, colorful illustrations and it's sweet story of the friendship between a frog and a peach, it's a real heart warmer. Blue (the frog) helps Peach to 'escape' from her tree before she gets eaten and Peach, in turn, helps Blue to see the world as a more beautiful place. My three year old son loves this book and so do I. It teaches about friendship and to not take things for granted. Even if you don't have children, but love children's books, this one is a keeper!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite love stories ever (seriously) Review: I work in a day care center with second grade children and encountered this book when one of my kids asked me to read it to them. Upon finishing the book, I was convinced that I got just as much out of this book and the children did. Yes, this is a children's book, but it contains a message about life and love that I think all adults should hear. It sounds silly but I fell that Peach and Blue contains one of the most touching and beautiful love stories I've ever encountered. This book is wonderful for school aged children, (the lush illustrations especially) but it's also a wonderful allegory, cleaverly telling a love story that children and adults can both enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Way Too Sappy! Review: it's cliche, i know, but i'm convinced that Peach and Blue can be enjoyed by audiences over the age of 4. while your kids may enjoy the illustrations (which are amazing), you and your husband might find a little romance in the message- indeed, there is love to be had. peach and blue each have something to offer the other. it's a sweet story. even sweeter when you're (...) reading it aloud with someone you enjoy.

Rating: Summary: Magical Little Book Review: Such a SPECIAL book! Beautifully illustrated and a story that will just melt you. The unlikely pairing of a frog and a peach (that some other reviewers found strange) I think is the whole point of this book. Two very different little souls who come together -- with "seemingly" nothing in common -- find an extraordinary friendship in each other. Through their different experiences in their very different worlds (stuck on a tree, and the by the river) learn from each other about the joy and tenuous nature of being alive and the beauty that surrounds us every day that we tend to take for granted.
Rating: Summary: A "Top 5" of mine... Review: Such a splendid story. Happy, when viewed from the innocence of childhood. Sad, when viewed from the wisdom of adulthood.
Rating: Summary: A Silly Story With A Good Point Review: such magical splendor. beautifully illustrated. i defy anyone to read this and not get a lump in their throat. it'll remain a fav o'mine. (to the publisher-- i ain't real keen on "ads" right next to the text on the inside of the fr. & back covers-- it detracts from the charm).
