The Animalia Wall Frieze

Summary: Great in the classroom and home use
Review: Everyone that I meet and sees the Animalia Wall Frieze loves it!!! I use it as a teacher to teach alliteration and my students love the find all kinds of objects in the pictures. This is not like the book because it comes in four long panels that you can use to decorate your classroom. I have had parents come to ask me where they can get it because they wanted to hang it up in their child's room. Graeme Base is intricate in his artwork and many find joy trying to decipher his riddles. A definite recommendation!

Review: I just recently purchased this book. I am a 2nd grade teacher. We recently did a lesson on Alliteration and Graeme's book Animalia made the concept real for my students. I have seen these panels in other intermediate teacher's classrooms and I cannot wait to hang mine in my classroom. The illustrations are colorful, bright, and VERY detailed. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is a teacher.

If you haven't read Graeme's other books like the Sing of the Seahorse or the Eleventh Hour, to your students, I recommend them as well! If you are looking for WONDERFUL read alouds that are rich in descriptive and poetic language, his books are must haves!! The mysterious Eleventh Hour with stretch your students to new levels. I love these books!!!

Review: I'm a junior in college and bought this spread for my apartment bedroom, it's so cool. No only does it have Graeme Base's extraordinary artwork, but the set comes with 26 riddles for Base's classic Detail Hide-and-go-seek. The beautiful frieze is sectioned into four parts for ease of mounting. What I love about the frieze format rather than its less expensive hardbound counterpart is the visibility -- this way Animalia comes to life on my walls rather than gathering dust on a bookshelf while I lose myself in the bustle of classes and work. Now I get to come home to a fresh reminder of what's fun about life: creativity!

Summary: Bigger than we expected
Review: We love Animalia and the Graeme Base drawings. We could not find the dimensions of this product on-line, but knew it was a large wall mount in four sections. The dimensions are in fact 14 inches by 26.5 feet! Each section is 14 inches by 81 inches.
