Summary: The perfect first book!
Review: Our 3 month old daughter can spend 10-15 minutes on my lap looking at this book with me; she coos, smiles and stares about the page with wonder as I point out the different shapes and objects. People do say that she has a great attention span for such a young baby, but I think any several month old would take to this book. This is a must have. It teaches shapes, colors, location, size, opposites and clothing.

Summary: My Shimmery Learning Book
Review: This book is perfect for 1 or 2 year old children. It catches their attention with bold artwork mixed with shiny, glittery panels sprinkled throughout. The illustrator wisely chose to use the shiny panels sparingly, so that they are enough to attract the child, but they do not overwhelm the page. It quickly became our one-year old's favorite book, and one of the first words he spoke was "star," which he learned from the "shapes" page. Each page has a different topic, "Colors," "Shapes," "Opposites," "Getting Dressed," . . . The book uses single words and pictures to teach basic concepts. It is one of the few board books we have seen that has large pages, about the dimensions of a magazine. We received it as a gift, and I think it would make a great gift. It is unusual and eye-catching, without being gaudy. Your child will love it.
