Rating: Summary: Please help me I cant find a book Review: The book contains a morale about beauty can bloom anywhere, I think it might be Lady Rose but not sure. Its a Serendipity book for certain. There is a rose that blooms on ice or iceberg I think. Does this sound familiar to anyone if so then please E-mail me at Arcimedes8@yahoo.com . I really want to find this book. Please help =)
Rating: Summary: Thank you AMAZON.COM! Review: All I can say about these books is WOW. I remember reading them when I was 5 and 6(yes believe it or not I could read that well at that age) and loving to fall asleep with them so I could dream of unicorns and other creatures. Reading has been my passion my whole life and I have read more books than anyone I know. These take the cake. They are wonderful for the imagination with their beautiful illustrations. They are also wonderful for the soul with their morals and characters that touch you and make you feel you are a part of their world for a little while. I had a very difficult time finding these books until I found Amazon.com. So I send out a resounding "Thank you amazon.com!!!" Buy these books....you will not be dissapointed and your children will thank you. Now and forever.
Rating: Summary: Childhood Revisited Review: As a small child, I had the entire collection of these books. They are precious, as they encourage the self-esteem of children and appeal to the child in all of us. The charming creatures and simple moral of each story make them fun, entertaining and constructive. My mother unfortunately got rid of my collection, and I thought I would never find these books again. But here they are, and I intend to reconstruct my collection for my children.
Rating: Summary: Childhood Memories Review: Growing up as a child, my mother read the "Serendipity" books to me every night. I think my most favorite time as mom and daughter was sitting together reading these books. The pictures are beutiful and the stories teach great lessions that we all experience in our lives at one point or another. I am 24 years old now and I have recently found a few of the books that I loved so much as a child. I now have a child of my own who is 7yrs. old and I have introduced these wonderful stories to him. He and I love to read them together and once in awhile when I am alone will pick one up just to enjoy the fantastic morals in each story. I wish they were easier to come across in stores. (They have become so hard to find) I think Stephen Cosgrove is a fantastic story teller and I rate all of his stories as 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: Almost Complete Review: Hello to all Serendipity lovers I have almost completed my collection of I believe at least 77 books from this series. I grew up reading and falling in love with all of the animals from Rhubarb to Fanny to Ming Ling. I encourage any reader (parent or child) to indulge themselves in the gorgeous illustrations and wonderful morals at the end of each story. Cosgrove and James have inspried me to start writing children's books on my own. I might be a famous author someday!
Rating: Summary: It all begins here Review: I believe this is the pilot book in the series, and is certainly one of the most classic. Serendipity is in all likelihood a magical elasmosaurus who, after meeting a very special dolphin and walrus, is assigned the most noble task of all...guarding the great seas. This wonderful book has gorgeous illustrations and I remember back as a child wishing I had it. Now, I finally have it thanks to Amazon (...) I read it and I don't regret that I did. Next to my all time favorites, those starring Squeakers the squirrel, this has become a fave, too. Actually, I think I love them all!

Rating: Summary: A Classic! Review: I have about 38 "Serendipity Series" books from Cosgrove including about 15 printed in the 70's. I am now in my 20's and am adding to my collection. I understand that several of the books are out-of-print, and I am looking for those. I concur with others who want a complete set made available. I would also like to see a web site devoted to the books. I can't wait to read these to my children (when I have them).
Rating: Summary: save these books and pass them on! Review: I too loved these books as a child growing up in the '70s. I would get lost at them and stare at the beautiful illustrations. I am so glad that some of them are in print. If you still have some of the original Serendipity books, hold onto them and share them with a new generation! If you've never read them, share them with a child - they're sure to love them as I did!
Rating: Summary: Books with good lessons... Review: I truly enjoyed the Serendipity series and would also love to see a complete collection. When I was a camp counselor I would read these stories to my campers every night at camp, beginning with Serendipity. Each of the campers could see themselves or someone they knew in the tales. I now enjoy them with my 5th grader who calls them "The books with the good lessons in them."
