Rating: Summary: Delightful! Review: A moonlit sea with smooth white stones is a very special seashore landscape and beautiful to behold in the BIG BIG SEA. I like it to round out the daytime seashore look of MALINDA MARTHA AND HER SKIPPING STONES(also available on amazon.com) with the stones illustrated like the gems they become with the sunlight and water upon them. Playing on the seashore by sunlight or moonlight can be every child's experience with this pair of books. THE BIG BIG SEA is a wonderful idea.
Rating: Summary: INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL Review: I cannot think of a more beautifully illustrated book than this one. The dreamy pictures of a mother-and-daughter escapade on the beach, followed by a sleepy night's end, move me every time I read it. With simple, slow-paced text, it makes for a very nice bedtime story.
Rating: Summary: great for a mother and daughter! Review: I found this book at a bookstore in Cape Cod while on a vacation. My daughter was 8 months old at the time. She is 5 now, and this book remains our favorite to read together. On her 2nd birthday I had a picture from the book scanned on her birthday cake. This book will be one we read for years to come.

Rating: Summary: Such a Wonderful Book! Review: I have twin boys that are nine and a six year old little girl. All of my children have loved this book and so have I. It will be one that I pull out in 30 years and have such great memories of!

Rating: Summary: Again, please, again Review: This book was read to us at a local story-time. My 3 year old daughter's eyes were wide with wonderment. At the end, she yelled out "Again, please, again." Sadly, there was no time for the teacher to read it again, but I copied down the name of this wonderful book and am about to buy it. The story is perfect for mothers to read to their daughters (and sons as well) and the illustrations are beautiful. What child does not long for the sea and for the moon? The words and pictures make them come alive.
