Review: I purchased five of the Michael Waite, Building Christian Character books in August of 94. I was most impressed with Max and the Big Fat Lie,it was interesting,very humorous and to the point. I used these books for children chapel at church, it kept the children attention because it wasn't long and rattling, but fun and something they could relate to, and a scripture that was short enough for them to memorize. My next favorites are Casey the Greedy Young Cowboy and Handy Dandy Helpful Hal. Buzzle Billy and Boggin, Blizzy, and Sleeter the Cheater were written in a tongue twister type of rhyme. It had words the children didn't understand, older than 7 may appreciate these, but under that age group don't understand what a buzzle is. Overall they are fun and interesting and have a great message!

Review: My children and I really like this book. I appreciate the realistic situation in which the little boy is tempted to lie. I think my children could really see something they relate to and they could see the moral of the story about how lies get out of hand. Great book!
