Review: I had this book and the tape that went with it when I was a little kid. It's a great book for little kids- wonderful illustrations and a funny story that's fun for grown ups and children alike.

Summary: dated but still fun for little readers
Review: Originally published in 1952, this story of a hungry lion unconsciously outwitted by a friendly rabbit is bit goofy for my tastes, but beginning readers seemm to enjoy it. Spolier: In the end, the lion becomes a vegetarian :-)

Review: We love The Tawny Scrawny Lion. It is a sweet story and my kids love it. Ours just got torn so here I am looking for another copy. My kids, 7 and 5, sobbed when the pages ripped.
