Rating: Summary: great idea, great book Review: I'm a parent and I love this book. It's fun and easy for my daughter to read, and makes good use of typefaces and short chapters to hold her attention. Its main value, of course, is to help young Christian girls understand friendship and guide them in theirs, along with the awareness of how God and faith play a part. The writing is clear and fine, as is Kathy Widenhouse's insight to the theme and substance. Get this book for your daughters--or your granddaughters.
Rating: Summary: Christian friendship book Review: My mom bought me this book about friends because it was a Christian book and she got it at the Christian bookstore. It is kind of like the American Girl's Care and Keeping of Friends because it has a lot of short sections. It teaches lots of things from the Bible but there are too many prayers in it, like one every page or two. I would like to have some more stories, puzzles and crafts. It has a lot of fancy typed words that jumped out at you and pictures and that was kind of distracting. But you can learn a lot anyway. It has a cool forever friends keychain.
Rating: Summary: book about friends for Christian girls Review: The Christian Girl's Guide to Friendship is for preteen Christian girls. It's the only friendship book I've read that talks about the Bible and God too. It says that God is the friendship coach and that Jesus is our best friend. I like that the book has verses in it but I think it has too many prayers in it. I like the ideas it gives for fixing friend problems. It was a little hard to read because it has so many bold print words. I think that other girls should read it to see what the Bible says about friends.
