Summary: Sometimes silliness is a virtue, too
Review: Anyone that reads this book to their child should be ashamed of themselves. This book is the most disgusting thing I have ever read. This book is supposed to be for ages 4 - 8 years old. I raise my child to be a better person than these people that apparently think this is a book that is proper to be read to a 4-8 year old. My daughter brought this book home from her school library and asked me to read it to her. Since the book came from school I proceeded to begin to read it to her but stopped because I am not assanine enough to put discusting language like that in her mind. It is never o.k. to call anyone or anything dumb. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks so, but if that is true, then this world has become more sick than any of us thought. SICK! SICK! SICK! The only reason I gave this book one star is because I couldn't find any way to give it none or negative. SICK! SICK! SICK!

Summary: Sometimes silliness is a virtue, too
Review: Every year I give my nephew a book for Easter. Last year it was "The Country Bunny and the Golden Shoes", an excellent book that I would recommend to the previous reviewer if it's an uplifting tale you're looking for. This year, however, he gets "Dumb Bunnies". Why? Because it's silly, funny, and will make him laugh out loud. And, in my opinion, it's harmless fun. Wouldn't the world be greater if we all had a little silliness in our lives?

Summary: Soooo SILLY & KOOKY!
Review: I distinctly remember reading this book for the first time: I was sitting indian style on the floor...chuckling and laughing to myself so loudly that I had to relegate myself to the back section so I wouldn't draw too much attention to myself out in the open in that quite book store--and I was 18 years old! Yes, I was a graduating senior in high school, and this book (and series) gave me a much needed laugh session. It reminded me a lot of the Amelia Bedelia books I read as a kid only wittier and better! Dav Pilkey is an absolute genius! I went to the library later that week (to do some research for school) and ended up checking out the series. Even my mommy found the books to be hilarious.

Summary: The Dumb Bunnie's Easter
Review: I thought this book was very humorous. It was very sweet and I thought the bunny was a good character to choose for this book. Also, It had a higher level of intelligence which was noticeable in the book although they portrayed the book as "dumb." That's exactly what the characters were.

Summary: So your kid says reading is boring, huh? Try this!
Review: I was distressed when my 6 year-old son informed me that reading was boring. That was before he met the Dumb Bunnies. This book is hilarious, and my son's reaction to it was even more so! He was literally laughing so hard that tears were streaming down his face.

The dumb bunnies are all ready to celebrate Easter on December 24. They have Halloween decorations up around the house, and decorate an Easter tree while waiting for Santa to come in his red minivan pulled by flying Pilgrims.

This is just the sort of goofiness that a 6 year-old will really go for. And the brilliance of the book is that it makes kids think! They are excited to figure out what the dumb bunnies have gotten all wrong, and what should have been done instead. If goofy is what it takes to get kids to read, then I say "Hooray for goofiness!"

Don't try this for bedtime reading, though, because it will wind your little ones up tight!
