Rating: Summary: It's What Kids Love! Review: Kids at the library during read-aloud time love this book. Yes, it's Hersheys, but I think too much is made of the parents issues with commercialism. Kids have interest, of course, in what interests them, and chocolate interests them. As there are no counting books about brussel sprouts, I guess we can't experiment with the dreadful little things, too. The bottom line is that they are fun and hold interest better than other math-skills books.

Rating: Summary: Edible math Review: There are plenty of math manipulatives besides a brand-name chocolate for children to use to have fun solving math problems. How about carrot or celery sticks that they can dip in nutritious yougurt? M & Ms have their own math book too. Why hook children on this commercialism when there are so many healthy alternatives?
