Rating: Summary: Great anytime story Review: It's a great book to read for an infant or toddler. My son is two and enjoys looking at the pictures and listening to the story. Conceptually, the ideas are very simple but also incredibly important. Showing affection through different kinds of kisses is a great story to share with a child. The short text allows me to point to the text as I read without losing my son's attention, then I embellish the story with sounds and gestures that make it a lot of fun for both of us. My two year old loves books and has a mountain of them. This is certainly one of his favorites.
Rating: Summary: They love it! Review: My 18 month old twins insist on having this book read to them over and over. Yes, it does get boring, but I have all their books memorized anyway, and repitition is how toddlers learn. What they really like are all the kisses. They both make kissing sounds when I read it, and when it's done everyone gets kisses (including me) before I hear "more!" They are also able to read along, identifying familiar objects on the pages (bear, car, etc.).
Rating: Summary: Wonderful for an infant! Review: My 6 month old son loves this book. The simple drawings capture his attention, making it one of the few books he wants to look at instead of chew on. The drawings and the text are both so sweet that I don't mind reading it over and over again.
Rating: Summary: They love it! Review: My almost two year old wants it read to him over and over. He loves the part about Mommy being busy cooking. A good book for a short attention span.
Rating: Summary: Short, but good first book Review: The idea, or theme, is a good one, but the pictures are boring and the words are choppy - without rhythym or color. I hate to give such a mediocre review, but with such a fine theme, I think it couild be better.M
