Rating: Summary: The details of the illustrations are absolutely wonderful!!! Review: I have had the grand opportunity to meet the author....This is a book that I highly recommend to people of all ages. The brillantly colorful pages filled with so much detail make you want to read it over and over, each time trying to find something new that you didn't noticed before!
Rating: Summary: I wonder? Review: I wonder when someone gets tired of trading sex for money?
I wonder when someone gets tired of stealing from other people?
I wonder when stealing from your lover's mother gets to be tiring?
I wonder when not returning you ex's artwork wares on you?
I wonder when the rubies will lose their shine, or are they already traded?
I wonder when the tanzinite will loose it's gloss. They must be pawned.
I wonder when not returning what belong's to your ex gets to be a burden?
I wonder when the egyptian lamp your daughter took from me won't light your room as brightly?
I wonder when trying to claim someone else's work as your own will be a downer?
I wonder when you will grow up and do the right thing?
I guess I can keep wondering forever.
Because I know the answer.
As long as you can get away with it.
As long as you can get away with it.
Over in the hollow, a hollow woman makes excuses. Over in the hollow, a hollow woman wonders where her families gone.
Over in the hollow, it's nothing but a hollow echo.
echo
echo
echo
Sad, sad clown all you will ever hear is the eacho of a life dreamed.
This is the truth.
This is what you must deal with.
Your family is great.
Rating: Summary: over priced at 80 cents Review: There are very few really good Halloween books for children; this is not one of them. The illustrations are not fun or scary but seem to be the scratchings of a compulsive neurotic. Ever more detail spiraling into a muddy mess of fat and uninteresting characters. In fact, you can forget about reading this book out loud and being able to show a group of kids the "artwork" because unless you intend to pass it around and supply them each with a jeweler's loop they will have no idea what is going on. Now if the constant parade of badly realized, obese, fanged creatures isn't enough to turn one off of the book then there is the "story". Which, for the purposes of this review I suppose means any words that are taken whole cloth from a popular work and then changed slightly. (The "author" May have a future writing for Hollywood or television, as I understand that a lack of originality there is an asset.) And this book displays a stunning, almost Herculean lack of anything charming or original. Avoid it at all costs. I understand that the "creator" of this "book" has several other titles available. I won't bother reviewing them as I am pretty certain, based on this one, that I have already read the public domain version of the stories and don't need to see them badly retold.
Rating: Summary: Halloween Fun! Review: This delightful Halloween story about a goblin who brings gifts to his sweetheart during the 13 nights before Halloween begs to be sung to the familiar tune of 12 days of Christmas. Rebecca Dickinson's illustrations are exquisitly detailed and provide kids with hidden creatures to find. As a teacher, I use this book as a motivation for my students to write their own descriptive Halloween stories. We have a great time with this book!
