Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I think that this book was well writen and very funny. Though the author makes the point that the friends are broken up, she still leaves hope between two of the people, which to me gives your mind a chance to wander and use your imagination to guess what will happen. A happy ending as always, but just barely! The friends get along and add an aditional member too. New friends are made and a club addition has followed through.
This is a great book.
Rating: Summary: Fight For Your Right Review: Long before Brittany Spears, there was MaryAnne. Still in her plaid jumpers and braids of the early years, when I believe the girls are all still in 7th grade, MaryAnne hasn't had much excitement in her life yet. She hasn't even met Logan. But she does proove early on that she is compassionate and competent and, above all, a darn good babysitter. I was actually in an emergency babysitting situation one time, and cheesy though it may sound I thought of MaryAnne. Hell, if MaryAnne could call an ambulance, than so could I, and darned if that's not exactly what i did. It's my feeling that the earlier books tended to be better written then the latest ones (perhaps before Ann got a ghostwriter?), and you can see this in MaryAnne Saves the Day. The characters are still real, still capable of change and complexity, not yet the cardboard cutouts perpetual 8th graders they are to become.
Rating: Summary: Fight For Your Right Review: Mary Anne has always been one of my favorite BSC members. This book of her was very good. In the beginning Mary Anne has a regular BSC meeting with her friends, but because of something Kristy did... there comes a HUGE fight between the members of The Baby-Sitters Club. In fact the whole book is about it, but here is too about Mary Anne and her father. Mary Anne's mother died when she was a baby and her father is trying to prove that he can raise a great child without mother. But Mary Anne has to keep her hair in pigtails and her father buys her clothes. And what about Mary Anne's room... I learnt a lot from this book and I think you should read this.
Rating: Summary: Mary Anne really did saved the day! Review: Mary Anne has always been one of my very favorite character. This book has a great beginning, middle and end. Mary Anne has always want to be the leader. She had fought a little but got ruined by her friends saying mean things. it was sad when they had a fight, but it really let you want to read more. When they had a fight, it really let you taste each character's personality. All of them are quite strong, but the strongness are different. That's what I like about this book. Every character are different but sometimes same. The book discribed it well enough to let you understand. I like the ending. I wonder was this book based on someone! (Especially that Jenny P, the spoilled kid.)I can't help laughing when Mary Anne cries! The only way you are going to know the personality of each character and the trouble they each bring (or pleasure) is to READ THE BOOK!
Rating: Summary: Way to Go Mary Anne! Review: Mary Anne is babysitting little Jenny, the pampered Prezzioso kid, when Jenny shows signs of being very ill! Also, every single member of the BSC are mad at eachother.Their unpleasant fighting made me cringe.
Rating: Summary: Way to Go Mary Anne! Review: She proves she's the strongest babysitter in the club in this book and many others. Although she's shy, she has a good head on her shoulders and has a lot of strength. This is a wonderful book that teaches about responsibility, but it's also fun to read. And the arguments that the babysitters have with each other are so funny and lame!
Rating: Summary: An excelllent book! Review: The Baby-sitters have a huge fight about job-hogging. They start to call each other names such as a BABY, or a STUCK UP SNOB. Mary Anne's father treats her like a little kid, and Mary Anne decides to take charge. Mary Anne makes a new friend,Dawn. Dawn and Mary Anne look through their Mom and Dad's old yearbooks and then they find out that her father and Dawn's mother were high school sweethearts! If you want to find out what happens, read this book!!!!!!!
