Review: This book is aimed at a person who may not consider him/herself especially religious, reminding us that Jesus deliberately befriended such people, even those whose lives had made them totally rejected by the society of "normal" people of that day.

People today who are not of the church-going type, for whatever reason, may not picture God as being particularly concerned or caring about their needs and issues. They know they have failed to be the "saints" whom they picture as deserving God's attention.

Lucado shows that if Jesus came to town today, he would probably seek them out first, and listen to their problems. And suddenly, a person who has been resisting the whole idea of Jesus and religion my find her/himself completely won over by his love.

But there is a great message here for the followers of Jesus as well, encouraging us to turn the struggles of our lives over to him.
