Summary: Perhaps my favorite children's book
Review: David Small has done it again. RUBY MAE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY is a little book with a big message - giving people (no matter how old they are) confidence can help them acomplish great things. Ruby Mae would like to deliver her message of Universal Peace and Understanding to the world but she can't because she has a problem speaking. Her tongue gets twisted. With the help of her inventor nephew and a most curious hat she overcomes this difficulty and helps the world be a better place. With typically delightful David Small illustrations and text, this is a wonderful read-aloud for children of all ages. This is no Small offering from a wonderful children's author.

Summary: Perhaps my favorite children's book
Review: This wonderful book by David Small (all of his books are great) may be my favorite children's book--even surpassing The Velveteen Rabbit. Read it if you need a boost to your self esteem. This is a must for every family library.
