Rating: Summary: Gift Horse is Great! Review: Gift Horse is a great book for people who are cautious about horseback riding...a huge horse can be more gentle than the smallest kitten. It gives Sam a little more courage to ride. As Sam learns to ride English and jump, she saves this beautiful bay Draft horse.
Rating: Summary: Gift Horse Review: Gift Horse is a great book! My favorite book of the Phantom Stallion Series! Tinkerbell sounds so nice and cute!! I would recommend this book for anyone who is a horse loving person!
Rating: Summary: Boring Plot + Poor Writing = Good Book? I don't think so... Review: Ok, I'll admit it, I've grown out of that 'every little girl's horse crazy stage' so this isn't exactly coming from a horse fanatic. But even when I did like, no LOVE, horses, I never cared for these books. I always found that the books had unnecessary length to them which dragged out the plot. The plot was never too interesting, anyway. In this book the main character, Sam (who is supposedly 13, but having been 13 myself I know that it would have been much more accurate to label her as 10 or 11 according to her personality) adopts a draft horse to save from slaughter, but the new horse ends up causing havoc. Same old, same old. If Sam can't handle the auction block without chickening out and having to 'save' a horse, why would she go? Although the horse causes trouble in parts of the book it ends happily (of course.) Would we faint if a children's book actually ended unhappily? Some may say it's depressing, I call it realistic. So if your sick of the recycled plots, happy-ending, little girl vibe of horse stories, this series will be of no relief to you.
Rating: Summary: Phantom Stallion is a GREAT series! Review: Phantom Stallion #9 Gift Horse is another great book in a great series. I have enjoyed reading the first 11 books in this interesting and exciting series. I like this series because it has realistic characters and both wild and tame horses. I highly recommend this series for anyone who likes horses.
Rating: Summary: The BEST book!!! Review: This book is yet another great book in the Phantom Stallion series. I especially liked Tinkerbell the big draft horse. This book was great and I recommend it to anyone who likes to read good and exciting books. I couldn't put this book down. It is without a doubt one of my favorites in the Phantom Stallion series. I can't wait to read the next book in the Phantom Stallion Series!
Rating: Summary: Even Better!!!!! Review: This book was gr8. Sam adopts a VERY big gelding named Tinkerbell. Ryan helps Sam figure out tinkerbells true talents. Rachel and Sam do a community project together and Darrell helps in a way. Jake seems intimidated by Ryan. Wyatts and Brianna new marriage smoothly. And a earthquake happens. bye
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: This particular book by Terri Farley was also very intersting. Sam adopts a huge gelding with her father at an auction after school. I think this book was really good and I was interested wehn they started talking about English riding with Ryan. And the earthquake was a nice touch. Plz email me at CrZgrl703@aol.com or IM me at sizlinliz08!! I like to hear from other ppl! lol ~Liz~
