Summary: A family favorite
Review: Frank Asch's simple illustrations are so soothing to children. My som loves to read his stories over and over. I don't mind reading them because they are so pleasing to look at. This book shows Ben bear who has painted a picture of his mother at school. Ben is bringing the picture home to her when he meets with many friends. Each friend offers a suggestion for improving the picture. In the end, the portrait of mama bear has the eyes of an owl, the teeth of an alligator, the mane of a lion and the neck of a girraf. Naturally, mama bear thinks it is the most beautiful picture ever and hangs it up. This is a very sweet story!
