Rating: Summary: Cult indoctrination...but for children! How quaint! Review: Ahh, welcome to the world of Hubbard's "Study Tech," that centers around always looking up words you don't understand. A good concept, right? Well, apparently, misunderstood words are the *only* thing that prevents understanding....ho boy.Complete and utter garbage, essentially...stuff cribbed from people who, y'know, actually do *research*, thrown together with outrageous assertions. But for kids! So it's all adorable, in a plush Xenu toy kind of way. Would it surprise anybody to learn that the editorial reviews given on this title are by Scientology front groups? Seriously, do a search...WISE organizations! That's because *no real educational professional takes this stuff seriously*. Stay far away.
Rating: Summary: NOT SUITABLE Review: Be AWARE
Be Alert
This book is, in my view, not suitable for children. Not even for adults.
I would give this book zero points, because it lacks of validitation.
A phenomenal language constructions does not show logic, coherence and scientific backup.
By the way....... what is the authors qualification? Consult
current media or just google him.....
Rating: Summary: Every child should have this book Review: Grammar is getting severely neglected in the school system, and as a basic building block to learning, it is becoming apparent why so many children are developing learning difficulties, or being tagged with disabilities.
This book takes you easily through grammar and communication, and helps a child (and an adult for that matter), understand enough to really use it and take command of the language.
It will be some of the best money you have ever spent on your child's education. I have 3 kids aged 7,8 and 9, and they changed after doing this course.
I didn't have to bug them about homework again. Once you eliminate the stumbling blocks and barriers your kids are faced with, they eagerly do it.
Rating: Summary: Great Tool for Teaching and Tutoring Review: Grammar is one of the most misunderstood subjects in education. The subject is wrought with complexieties that have confused and confounded teachers and students alike. This textbook allows for an entry level understanding of the subject and allows for a foundation to be built, to support higher learning. This is a must for any student, or any want to be writer. I cannot tell you how many times this book has helped me help others, help themselves. It will make an immeasurable difference that will brighten up you and your student.

Rating: Summary: A Great Tool for Learning Review: Hubbard has put together the most useful and effective book on Grammar on the market. It is extremely effective for teaching both children and adults. If this book were placed into broad use, illiteracy would be on a decline in society as it makes the previously 'unconfrontable' and 'confusing' subject of Grammar a thing of the past. Any teacher would find this an incredible text to have on on hand in the classroom. This book was written by a very successful and broadly published author with an exceptional command of the basics of the language. I found it to be a very useful text.
Rating: Summary: For Anyone Having Trouble With Grammer Review: Learning grammer can be a difficult and frustrating undertaking. This delightful book makes learning grammer simple and fun. Wonderful illustrations and clearly and simply defined ideas make this book a ideal purchase for anyone (child or adult) trying to learning grammer.
Rating: Summary: Finally! Grammar made simple! Review: My 9 year old son is currently studying this book, and I've happily thrown away the grammar materials he was using before. This book is written very clearly, and the data is presented in a straightforward, easy to understand manner. My son now has certainty on the parts of speech, and punctuation. His writing has improved tremendously, and his understanding of what he reads has also improved. This is a must for every homeschooler, and for anyone who found grammar confusing in school. It's not a difficult subject, and not nearly as painful as my elementary school teachers made it seem! I would also recommend this book to anyone whose child is not doing as well in school as they would like. This is certainly the best grammar resource I've found.
Rating: Summary: Abusive and anti-educational Review: This gross attempt at presenting an educational formula for chilren is filled with historical inaccuracies, anti-logic, anti-reason, and ad hoc hypothesies that have been rejected by education professionals litterally half a century ago. Anyone subjecting children to the hocus-pocus nonsense found within this pretense of a textbook is flirting with inflicting serious injury to those children. One should LEAVE EDUCATION TO THE PROFESSIONALS! Obsolete "pop" absurdities such as this book promotes is in my opinion (and that of the massive majority of professional educators) dangerous. Books like this one that make extraordinary claims ought to be banned until the precepts within are demonstrated valid--- validity that this book grossly lacks.
Save your child's mind: avoid this travasty of pseudo-scientific BS.
