Rating: Summary: Outstanding picture book Review: My 2-year-old son has loved this book since he got it more than a year ago, and I love it too. The pictures are beautiful and fun to look at on their own, but now we like to count the animals on each page. Looking for the cat hiding on each page is the best part of all.
Rating: Summary: My favorite gift for toddlers Review: My own daughter (20 months) adores this book, and while I love most of the books in her collection, I have to say it's one of my favorites as well. I've given it to nearly all of our toddler friends as birthday gifts in the past year. This book has a number of levels, from finding the cat -- easy for the very young -- to recognizing animals, facilitating "animal sounds" discussions, counting, etc. And best of all, the art work is stunning. I have a feeling this book will become one of our enduring favorites.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding picture book Review: The artwork in this book is amazing. I checked it out at the library for my 2.5 year old and now am buying it for our collection. The illustrations (appliques) are so colorful and creative. My boy enjoys looking for the cat and when he gets older, he can count the objects on each page. The author/illustrator is very creative. A wonderful addition to your library!
