Review: As a long time reader of Matt Christopher books, Spike It ranks right up there with the best I have read. Every 6th to 8th grade student should have an opportunity to read this book, as it gives a valuable lesson in dealing with the sometimes tough situations teenagers face in life beyond the volleyball court. I recommend this book highly.

Review: I give this book four stars because it is a really good book. I could not put it down. This book is about volley ball.so i would recomend it for sports fans. It is about a girl who lost her mother and her father gets remarried. Her stepmom has a daughter the same age and they dont get along. this new girl is moving in on everything. the only thing she has to herself is volleyball and the new girl takes that away too! after everything that happens they do make up! i really liked this book. I would recomend it for a sixth grade girl. i think sixth grade because the words are in big print. i chose a girls because i is not a book that a boy would like.
