Summary: Lyrical and devastating, a novel for the ages
Review: Coming to the heart-rending conclusion of Cherie Bennett's ZINK, I literally had to sit alone in a darkened room for several minutes to compose myself. And this book about life, death, God, and the meaning of it all is for children? It may be, but I can attest that it is also for adults. Bennett manages, by telling the deceptively simple story of a young girl with cancer and her relationship with a group of zebras in Africa, to make wise the simple. Kids will adore it for its humor and its truth, adults will adore it for its depth and honesty. One of the finest books of the last several years, for readers of any age. Most impressive are the way the author draws relationships, whether between girl and parent, girl and talking zebras, girl and younger brother, or girl and friends. These characters are more real than I've seen in fiction in a long, long time.

Summary: This book is a must-read!
Review: I love to read, and most of the books that I read, I like. But Zink popped out at me! I loved this book! It had sad times, happy times, and even funny times. It went through the hard times of a girl with cancer. Three zebras from Africa are sent to help her magically. She becomes friends with them, and begins to look forward to their visits. They make her happy in sad times, they make her forget that she's even getting a shot while they sing to her! I know, I know: You think it's going to be to fantasy!!! Well, when my friend told me about it- I thought that too! But somehow, it all fits together! I've read it 4 times, and usually each time in a couple days! It's a perfect book for ages 9-14! You must read this book!

Summary: The Pages Will Open Your Heart
Review: Zink is my favorite book. I've read it 16 times already! It's about this girl who usually doesn't stand up for herself in school. Then she's diagnosed with cancer and had to go through a scary experience. But along the way, she had a herd of zebras in her imagination to help her. The zebras taught her bravery and many of life's lessons. She gets bolder and learns to stand up for herself towards the end. The ending is sad, but I liked the epilogue. It fit into the story, and it's nice knowing that we can still help and contribute in this world when we're no longer here. ZINK has taught me a lot about life and bravery and being scared. I love this book.

Summary: Zink the novel
Review: Zink was a very good book. I really liked it. It also taught me more about different types of Cancer. Althouth the book was very sad I found it very interesting. The snotty girl, Ashley was just a little brat, but here character worked quite nicely. Cherie totally captured what a real snotty girl aroud ten years old acts like. So my own personal opinan is that Zink is a really good book and I suggest for anyone interested to definity read this book.
